Nazirlər Şurasının 30 iyun 1918-ci il tarixli qərarı ilə Xalq Maarifi Nazirliyinin üç şöbədən (ümumi orta təhsil, ali və orta ixtisas təhsili, peşə məktəbləri) ibarət strukturu təsdiq olunub.

    Azərbaycan SSR Xalq Komissarları Sovetinin 28 aprel 1920-ci il tarixli qərarı ilə Xalq Maarifi Nazirliyinin adı dəyişdirilərək Xalq Maarifi Komissarlığı adı ilə yenidən təşkil edilib və ölkədəki bütün təhsil müəssisələri bu qurumun tabeliyinə verilib.

Minister of National Education of Turkey visits Baku State Vocational Education Center

As part of his visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mahmut Ozer, Minister of National Education of Turkey, visited the Baku State Vocational Education Center for Culture and Crafts.   The delegation was informed in detail about the inclusive environment created at the Center, the implementation of the dual education model and new programs.   Mahmut Ozer then met with teachers who participated in vocational education trainings in Turkey and had a frank discussion with them.

Meeting with Minister of National Education of Turkey

On January 30, Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev met in an expanded format with a delegation led by Mahmut Ozer, Minister of National Education of the Republic of Turkey, who was on a visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan.   During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the joint activities of the two countries in the field of general and vocational education, including the exchange of teachers and students. This year, the importance of continuing joint activities in the direction of restructuring vocational education institutions in terms of their content and teaching in them was emphasized.   It should be noted that the delegation's visit will last until February 1.   As part of the visit, it is planned to visit the Baku State Vocational Education and Training Center for  Culture and Crafts, the STEAM Innovation Center, the Baku European Lyceum, the Baku Turkish Anatolian Lyceum, and other educational institutions.

The Minister of National Education of Turkey is on a visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan

A delegation led by Mahmut Ozer, Minister of National Education of the Republic of Turkey, is on a visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan.   As part of the visit, the guests visited the Alley of Honor, paid tribute to national leader Heydar Aliyev, and laid wreaths and flowers at his tomb. They also visited the grave of academician Zarifa Aliyeva, an outstanding scientist in ophthalmology.   At the Alley of Honor, the delegation from Turkey then honored the memory of those who gave their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. Minister of Science and Education receives Ambassador of the State of Libya to the Republic of Azerbaijan

On January 24, the Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Libya to Azerbaijan Mr. Ali Salem Nasser.   They discussed the current state of ties between Azerbaijan and Libya in the field of education and the prospects for further cooperation.

On January 23, the Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev received a newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova to Azerbaijan Mr. Alexander Esaulenko.   The current state and development prospects of relations between the two countries in the field of education were discussed at the meeting.

Leadership and staff of the Ministry of Science and Education visits Alley of Martyrs

On 20 January – National Mourning Day, the leadership and staff of the Ministry of Science and Education visited the Alley of Martyrs.   They commemorated the memory of martyrs who gave their lives for the freedom and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, and put flowers at their graves.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva have attended the opening of “STEAM Innovation Center” in Baku.   Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev informed the head of state and the First Lady of the conditions created at the center.   The four-storey building of the "STEAM Innovation Center" has an aviation space, classic Newton, Newton for children and conference rooms, game rooms, construction rooms, "Heureka Classics" rooms, a robot development laboratory, "3D hologram", VR zones.   The Ministry of Science and Education launched the "STEAM Azerbaijan" project with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation starting from the 2019-2020 academic year.   STEAM education approach is an integration of the 5 core disciplines. It is based on the idea of teaching Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics in a joint manner and holistically. The main objective of the STEAM project is to show the 21st century skills - creativity, critical thinking, development of cooperation, application of scientific and technical knowledge in everyday life through practical exercises for the students studying in the public schools of the Republic, to teach them engineering skills, to improve their ability to use modern ICT equipment by applying various programming languages.   https://president.az

President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva viewed conditions created at Child and Youth Development Center in Baku after major overhaul

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva have viewed conditions created at Child and Youth Development Center in Baku after a major overhaul and restoration.   Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev informed the head of state and the First Lady of the conditions created at the center.   The center features 44 clubs, including dancing, theatre, painting, foreign languages, science and technology, psychology, culinary and tourism. Nearly 1,500 students are expected to be involved in the clubs.   The center will employ 20 administrative, 20 technical and 65 pedagogical staff.   https://president.az

Within the framework of the "Year of Shusha" a forum with the participation of foreign students was held

As part of the "Year of Shusha," a forum was organized with the participation of foreign students studying in our country. The aim of the forum was to discuss the damage caused to cultural monuments and the environment by Armenian vandalism in the territories liberated from the occupation, to hold discussions on topics of diplomacy, and to bring the Karabakh realities to foreign students.   The event included panel discussions by local and foreign experts on the topics of culture, ecology, and diplomacy with international students and teaching staff.   Representatives of the Shusha State Reserve Department, the Reserves Management Center under the State Tourism Agency, and the Permanent Delegation of Azerbaijan to UNESCO participated as speakers at the cultural panel. Representatives of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Caspian and Azerbaijan State Universities of Economics, as well as independent experts, made presentations at the environmental panel. Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Center for Analysis of International Relations, the Youth Organization of the Non-Aligned Movement, and the Topchubashov Center spoke at the diplomatic panel. The speech of Michael Dora, Director of the Center for Peace and Security in the Middle East at the Hudson Institute of the USA, who participated in this panel, was met with interest.   It should be noted that some of the speakers of the forum were graduates educated abroad under the "State Program for the Education of Azerbaijani Youth Abroad in 2007-2015." During the panel discussions, panelists answered questions of interest to forum participants.   The forum was attended by about 70 foreign students studying in our country at the expense of programs of educational grants established by decrees of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, intergovernmental agreements supported by the Republic of Azerbaijan, and their own funds.   At the end of the event, the participants' impressions were heard and dozens of memorable photos were taken.

“RoboGames 2022" STEAM competition was held

“The RoboGames 2022” STEAM competition, organized by the Ministry of Science and Education, ADA University, and “Mars Academy”, was held on December 24–25.   "RoboGames 2022: Smart City" is a local robotics project competition, organized for the first time for high school students aged 10 to 16. "RoboGames" is an unusual experience that introduces students to real-world scientific and technological problems in a fun environment and enriches students’ worldview by exploring their solutions.   The competition was held over 2 days at ADA University with 40 teams, 201 participants, and team leaders from public and private educational institutions. The teams assembled robots programmed to solve the stated “Smart City” missions using special “Lego Mindstorms ev3” kits, and demonstrated creativity by using more efficient resources with digital solutions.   On the last day of the event, the teams that demonstrated the importance of new discoveries, fair competition, teamwork, professionalism, cooperation, and friendly competition were chosen as winners.   At the end of the event, Vusal Khanlarov, head of the Department of Informatization of the Education System, and Sencer Yeralan, dean of the Faculty of Information Technology and Engineering at ADA University, presented trophies and gifts to the champions.
