The delegation led by the Azerbaijani Minister of Science and Education, Emin Amrullayev, is participating in the 21st World Education Forum (EWF) held in London, the UK, on May 18-22, 2025.    The forum, organized with the participation of science and education ministers from more than 100 countries, representatives of international organizations and experts, is being held under the motto "From stability to growth: Building stronger, bolder, better education together."   Key challenges facing education on a global scale, innovation and digitalization, teacher preparation and international cooperation will be discussed as part of the forum.

On May 10, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of a nursery-kindergarten in the village of Kangarli.   The President was informed that the facility, built to modern standards, can accommodate 120 children and provides a healthy, nurturing environment for their development. On May 10, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the Kangarli village secondary school in Aghdam district.   Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev briefed the President on the facilities at the school.   The 484-seat school, featuring 30 classrooms, is fully equipped to organize the educational process at a modern standard. The classrooms are furnished with essential teaching materials. The school also includes biology, chemistry, and physics laboratories, a computer science room, pre-conscription military preparation classrooms, a library, an assembly hall, a sports hall, and a canteen.   A sports field has been constructed within the school grounds, accessible not only to students but also to villagers during after-school hours. Play and recreation areas, along with landscaped greenery, further enhance the environment.   To provide electricity, solar panels have been installed on the roofs of several non-residential buildings, including the school.   https://president.az

A Memorial Room dedicated to the 135th anniversary of the birth of Vietnam’s prominent political figure and first President, Ho Chi Minh, was inaugurated on May 8 at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU). The ceremony also highlighted the long-standing cooperation between Azerbaijan and Vietnam.   Organized as a symbol of the historic friendship and energy collaboration between the Azerbaijan and Vietnam, the event brought together high-level government officials of both countries, heads of science and education sectors, as well as teaching staff and students of higher education institutions.   Among the attendees were To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Parviz Shahbazov, Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan; Emin Amrullayev, Minister of Science and Education of Azerbaijan; Le Manh Hung, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of “PetroVietnam” company; as well as other dignitaries and academic representatives. Speakers emphasized the historical foundations of Azerbaijan-Vietnam relations, joint projects in the field of energy. They also spoke about the influence of Ho Chi Minh's political legacy on these relations.   The role of Ho Chi Minh in building friendship and solidarity among nations was emphasised during the speeches.   Following the speeches, the Memorial Room was officially opened. The exhibition features a collection of materials chronicling Ho Chi Minh’s life and activities, along with historical documents showcasing Azerbaijan-Vietnam cooperation in the oil and gas sector.   Attendees toured the room and posed for a group photo to commemorate the occasion.
