PISA
Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) organized by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) every three years since 2000, tests the ability of 15-year-old students to use the knowledge they have acquired in school in reading, math, and science to solve the problems they face in everyday life.
TIMSS
Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) is an international assessment conducted by the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement since 1995 to assess the knowledge of 4th and 8th grade students in mathematics and science. The study is held every 4 years. Azerbaijan participated in this international assessment for the first time in 2011 and again in 2019.
PIRLS
Progress in International Reading Literacy Study (PIRLS) is an international study on the development of reading skills. The main purpose of the study is to assess the reading skills of 4th grade students and compare the results with other countries. It is conducted by the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement. Azerbaijan participated in this international assessment for the first time in 2011 and again in 2016.
