Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Ministry of Science and Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary
On March 1, the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation under the "Stipendium Hungaricum" program for the years 2024-2026.
The memorandum was signed by Deputy Minister of Science and Education Hasan Hasanli and Hungarian State Secretary for Security Policy and Energy Security Peter Staray.
According to the memorandum, under the "Stipendium Hungaricum" program it is planned to allocate 200 annual scholarships to citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan to study in Hungarian or a foreign language in Hungary. In addition, the Azerbaijani side annually allocates 10 scholarships to Hungarian citizens to study in Azerbaijani, English or Russian language in higher educational institutions of our country.
It should be noted that the purpose of the Memorandum of Understanding is to support the expansion of cooperation between the two countries in the long term, thereby contributing to the development of a knowledge-based society and a mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of higher education.
