Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan sign documents in the field of education
A ceremony for signing Azerbaijani-Kyrgyz documents was held with the participation of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov on 24 April.
During the ceremony, Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Emin Emrullayev and Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva signed the "Agreement on cooperation in the field of education and science between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic".
Under the agreement, the parties will promote the establishment and development of direct links between educational institutions, exchange of experience, as well as visits by teachers, researchers, scientists and other educators in order to strengthen bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Within the framework of the agreement, both parties, in accordance with their national legislation and on a reciprocal basis, will annually allocate 5 quota places on bachelor's degree programs to citizens of the other state to study at universities in the opposite country.
