In the reception, held in accordance with citizens` reception schedule of heads of central executive authorities for August, 2015 in the town and regions, the citizens mostly appealed on recruiting teachers or changing workplace from one school to another or from one region to another, restoration to the work, recognition of the education documents, transfer of the students of secondary, higher and secondary specialized schools from one education institution to another, study abroad, tuition fee and other issues. Appeals of 122 citizens were heard and most of issues were settled operatively in the reception. Relevant bodies of the Ministry were instructed in connection with several appeals. The citizens` appeals, having a personal character and not being within the competence of the Ministry, were registered and taken under control in order to be delivered to the relevant bodies.

The contest, dedicated to the use of information technology in education, will be organized in various categories on the "Teacher" and "Student" directions. The purpose of the contest is to encourage teachers who actively use information technology in the teaching process and to support their activities, to promote the best electronic teaching aids among a wide audience of users, to inform the educational community about the new teaching methods implemented by using the possibilities of the internet, to seek new forms of ICT application for teaching purposes, to expand the use of electronic resources in educational institutions, to motivate teachers and students to create electronic resources and to use the available resources. The contest may be attended by the teaching staff of educational institutions, the Methodist experts of institutions engaged in advanced training and retraining of teaching staff, as well as the students. 24437 people have submitted an application for 3462 vacant positions in order to participate in the competition. 21795 of them have been allowed to take part in the first stage of the competition - in the examinations by approving their petitions. According to the results of the first placement, 1877 people have had the right to be employed. After the competition for the recruitment of teachers to general education institutions and vocational lyceums, the additional placement process has been conducted for the vacant positions. 3599 people, reaching a passing score in the examinations but failing to take up a vacant post, have applied to participate in the additional placement process. As a result of the additional placement process, 356 people have been employed. So, according to the results of the competition, a total of 2233 people have been employed. The incentive measures have been applied to 1589 (71%) of them. This year, the indicators for taking up vacant posts as a result of the competition are 32% higher than the previous year's results. So, in the past academic year, 1692 people were employed, but their number has increased by 540 people in the current academic year. Although more than 20 thousand candidates have participated in the competition held this year, no one has filed an appeal for the results.

The candidates for medals were determined in accordance with the "Rules of awarding gold and silver medals to graduates completed secondary education with special achievements". The students of SABAH groups took part in an intensive English language course of EF International Language School within the framework of the summer school. The purpose of the course was to create favorable conditions for the growth of well-educated, skilled and trained students, to improve the English language skills of students of SABAH groups in the visual environment in accordance with the growing demands of the labor market, to support the expansion of their worldviews. During the intensive course, each participant was taught general English on the basis of individual curriculum. The classes were conducted in the form of interactive discussion, lecture, "online" test and working on practical exercises. They provided the parallel development of students` academic writing, reading, speaking and listening skills in English. At the end of a two-week course, students received a certificate by taking part in the examination. The students were involved in the debating club, the essay contest and the discussion of the film beyond the teaching hours. They visited the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Science Museum, the Natural History Museum, St. Paul's Cathedral, the Madame Tussaud`s museum, the House of Parliament, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, St. James's Park, the Greenwich meridian, the National Gallery and other historical and cultural sites. Acquaintance and communication with people from different countries provided great support for the development of worldviews and communication skills of students of SABAH groups.

The purpose of the contest, dedicated to the International Day of Peace, 21 September, is to draw children and young people`s attention to the International Day of Peace, to instill a spirit of nonviolence, peacefulness, patriotism and respect for the traditions in them, to increase their artistic and aesthetic levels, to identify children with special talents and to support the development of their abilities. The competition, to be held among pupils of secondary and boarding schools, and circle members of out-of-school educational institutions, will be organized in three age groups. The competition will primarily be held within the schools and among the district (city) schools. The first place winners of this stage will win the right to participate in the Republican stage. 9 winning works will be selected from each age group in the Republican stage. In the end, the catalogue of winners and the best works will be published. In November, the final exhibition of the works of the winners and the awards ceremony will be held.   Order of the Minister of Education of Azerbaijan Republic on holding the Republican art contest under the theme "Let`s unite for peace" dedicated to the International Day of Peace, 21 September, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of UNESCO.

The activity of the higher education institution was widely discussed at the meeting, held with the participation of Firudin Gurbanov, Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Yagub Piriyev, Deputy Head of Administration of the Education Ministry, and other officials. Giving a speech, F.Gurbanov, Deputy Minister of Education, provided detailed information about the processes taking place recently around the university. He noted that, as a result of the inspections conducted by the Ministry of Finance and the accreditation held by the Ministry of Education, several shortcomings were revealed in the university, some members of staff gave way to negative circumstances, the inspection materials were sent to the prosecution authorities. He also mentioned that such cases damaged the image of the university. In his speech, Firudin Gurbanov noted that in accordance with the decision of Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Education, several executives of the University were dismissed for their shortcomings and the rector was reprimanded. Introducing the newly appointed Pro-Rectors for Academic Affairs, also for Science and Technology to the staff, F.Gurbanov underlined the Minister`s instructions on providing the University with young and perspective employees, normalizing moral and psychological state in the collective, strengthening financial discipline, improving the quality of education. Also, in accordance with the order of the Minister, it was planned to submit a detailed report on the results of the academic year 2015/2016 by the University at the collegial meeting of the Ministry. In turn, the Ministry of Education would continue to take the necessary steps towards improving the quality of personnel training in this higher education institution. Akif Suleymanov, Rector, who had just returned home after treatment, also made a speech at the meeting and noted that the staff led by him would draw an inference from the objurgations addressed to them, would organize their activities in accordance with the requirements of the legislation and would work hard for the full implementation of the objectives that were put forward.
