The contest, dedicated to the use of information technology in education, is organized in 6 categories on the "Teacher" and "Student" directions. The purpose of the contest is to encourage teachers who actively use information technology in the teaching process and to support their activities, to promote the best electronic teaching aids among a wide audience of users, to inform the educational community about the new teaching methods implemented by using the possibilities of the internet, to seek new forms of ICT application for teaching purposes, to expand the use of electronic resources in educational institutions, to motivate teachers and students to create electronic resources and to use the available resources. The contest may be attended by the teaching staff of educational institutions, the Methodist experts of institutions engaged in advanced training and retraining of teaching staff, as well as the students. Those wishing to participate in the contest should be registered on the page www.musabiqe.edu.az and must fill out an application. Laptops, tablets, printers and other special prizes will be presented to winners. The contest is supported by  "Dr. Web "," AzEduNet "," Ultra ", the Additional Training Center for "Innovative Technologies in Education", "Edumedia Azerbaijan" and "Nar Mobile". The ceremony was attended by Jeyhun Bayramov, Deputy Minister of Education, Andro Shilakadze, head of UNICEF in Azerbaijan, directors of secondary schools and teachers. Giving a speech at the event, Jeyhun Bayramov, Deputy Minister of Education, underlined the importance of the project. The Deputy Minister noted that the main purpose of the advanced training course, prepared in a new form and content, is to raise the level of professionalism of a group of primary school teachers of the schools operating in Baku. Lesson observation for teachers working at primary education level, interview with parents, analysis of the student results allowed to identify the strengths and weaknesses of primary school teachers. The advanced training program modules were prepared on the basis of this analysis. Teachers participated in lectures and practical sessions on such topics as philosophy and mission of primary education, modern pedagogical and psychological approaches, methodology and didactics, classroom management, personal development, time management, planning, digital literacy during the training course, which lasted two and a half months. More than 20 specialists were involved in carrying out theoretical and practical sessions. 113 out of 114 people, who took part in the scholarship program, participated in the final assessment process. 65 of them successfully passed the exam and were awarded the Certificate of “Təməl”.  It should be noted that the classrooms of participants, successfully completed the program, are equipped with ICT equipment.

During the concert, entitled "Uzeyir Hajibayli and the school of Azerbaijani composition" organized with the participation of the Azerbaijan State Chamber Orchestra named after Gara Garayev (the artistic director, chief conductor, People's Artist of Azerbaijan, Teymur Goychayev) and the students of secondary specialized musical school named after Bulbul, the works of U.Hajibayli and other composers, as well as E.Alieva, pupil of the Department of Composition in the educational institution, were played. President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of a secondary school after Mohubbat Azimov in Atakishili village in Kurdamir District. The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the school, and then reviewed the conditions created here. Minister of Education Mikayil Jabbarov said that the 624-seat school was constructed under the order of the Ministry. The construction work started in October 2014. There are photo stands in the foyer of the building reflecting the visits of national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev to Kurdamir District. The building occupies a total area of 2,000 square metres. The three-storey school has 53 rooms, including 26 classrooms, military, linguistic and computer rooms, and departments of chemistry, physics and biology. At the same time, along with the day of knowledge, the opening ceremony of the project "Application of inclusive education at the primary education level" was held in full secondary school No. 220 of Baku city. In this regard, the project "Application of inclusive education at the primary education level" is being tested in secondary schools No. 220 and No. 138 of Baku city in accordance with the Order No. 311 of the Minister of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated March 18, 2015. 2 inclusive classes were opened in secondary school No. 220 within the framework of the project "Application of inclusive education at the primary education level". The Conference was attended by Mikayil Jabbarov, the Minister of Education of Azerbaijan Republic, MPs, structural section leaders of the Ministry, administration and collaborators of Baku City Education Department, school principals, advanced teachers and media representatives. Mohammad Abdullaev, graduate of the Republic Specialized Olympic Reserves Child-Youth Sports School no.1 of “Tahsil” Republic Sports Center and member of Azerbaijani national team, successfully performed in the weight class above 80 kilograms and qualified for the final stage in the World Boxing Championship among juniors held in St. Petersburg, Russia. In the final, he won an overwhelming victory over Daniel Melksham, the representative of Germany, and was awarded first place.
