Firudin Gurbanov was born in 1952. He graduated from Azebaijan Economic University, facuty of economy, organization and planning with honorary diploma. He achieved degree of candidates on economic sciences in 1981, also achieved name of senior lecturer in 1988. He strated his professional experince in Scientific– Research Institute of Azerbaijan State Plan Committee in 1974, worked till 1982. As well as he worked in Baku branch of Moscow Cooperative Institute from 1982 to 1989, also worked in State Inspection of The Ministry of Education from 1989 to 1994. He was head of department of Science and Education in The ministry of Youth and Sport in 1994- 2007, also was a director of Apparatus of The Mnistry of Culture and Tourism since 2007. He was awarded to medal “Due to merit in state service” in 2011.

Teachers on the subjects of german language, labor readiness, physical education, french language, information science, music and song, russian language and literature and fine art.   59 persons to 4 places on the subject of german language, 312 persons to 21 places on the subject of labor readiness, 648 persons to 134 places on the subject of physical culture, 101 person to 11 places on the subject of french language, 1113 persons to 193 places on the subject of information science, 148 persons to 27 places on the subject of russian language, 75 persons to 1 place on the subject of russian language and literature and 199 persons to 28 places on the subject of fine art. Examinations are conducted in main and 2 nd corpus of Azerbaijan State Economic University. Each participant leaves hall knowing examination’ results. After completion of the examinations, placement will be made and the results will be sent to personal page of the teachers who take part in examination.

Media’ representatives visited Heydar Aliyev Museum and the exhibitions functioning currently in Heydar Aliyev Center within framework of event. Acquaintance  started with museum which reflects life and action of great leader Heydar Aliyev, was continued with review of “Azerbaijan’ pearls: conistency of history”, Flight to Baku: modern Azerbaijan art”, “African wild nature” of Adrian Steirn”, “Paris” exhibitions of Toni Kreggy and Anri Kartye- Bresso. Minister congratulated the students and wished them the successes in their studies also stated that, he hopes students will justify confidence. Touching upon importance of study of Azerbaijani youth in world’ leading universities, minister stated that, they will make worthy contributions to dynamic development of our country. Mikayil Jabbarov stated that, good tradition was put by sending of Azerbaijani youth to prominent universities of USSR by purpose to study from 70- 80 th years of past century as a result of far-sighted policy of national leader Heydar Aliyev. Stressing special attention of great leader to the youth who studied in abroad during independent years of our cuntry, Minister stated that this policy is continued by Ilham Aliyev, The President of Azerbaijan at present. Students who firstly achieved right of stduy in abroad within framework of State Program, were awarded to “DP scholar card” in the event.    One group of first students who obtained positive opinion by Education Commission under The President of Azerbaijan Republic, will continue their study on the degree of bachelor, master, residetentury and PhD in Great Britain, Turkey, Switzerland, Canada, the Netherlands Kingdom, Australia, Germany, Poland, France, US, Finland, Italy, Russia Federation, Belgium, Spain and Sweden. There are our youth who were admitted in leading universities like High Commercial School of Paris and Harward, Cambridge, Lund, Melbourne universities among those students. Document reception on study in abroad under State Program for 2014-2015 surrounds May 22- August 8. Document reception process and the interviews are presently continued. As in previous phase, together with the collaborators of The Ministry of Education the representatives of other governmental bodies and the universities took part in the interviews. This factor makes favourable condition for transparent performance of the choices and selection of more appropriate candidades. Knlowing of relevant academic language at higher level, sufficient level of the knowledges on teaching specialty, intention of making contribution to development of our country after completion of their studies, are applied as main criterias during interview. General number of youth who achieved right to study at the universities of foreign countries is 2612 within framework of State Program for 2007- 2013.

Different program will be applied for study of higher competitive pupils in the lyceums also favourable condition will be created for training of talanted pupils for local and international olympiades. In order to ensure higher training level of the pupils of both lyceums that have experienced teaching staff distinguished by their traditions, relevant material-technical base will be created. At the same time, the pupils will be equipped with daily meal and if needed hostel. Admisison examinations in the lyceums will be held under two phases on August 15-16, 2014. Psychological test will be conducted in order to determine intellectual potential of the candidates. Pupils of VII grade will pass examination on the subject of Azerbaijan language and mathematics, the pupils of VIII ad IX on the subject of Azerbaijan language and mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology according to profile of the lyceums. Pupils who want to take part in the contest can apply with application to admission commissions till August 12.

According to statistics, 8761 calls (4.5 times more than relevant period of 2013) have been received by Call Center and approximately 500 calls to Switchboard service. 6756 citizens have served in Citizens Reception Center. Most of the appeals received by Call Center and Citizens Reception Center have been responded immediately and raised problems have been settled operatively. According to their survey, 1167 have been registered for reception of relevant authorities of The Ministry of Education in electronic form. 1683 documents (782 letters, 754 petitions, 147 other documents) have been received and registered. Most of appeals includes the issues like recruitment of the teachers, obtaining of education documents, recognition of the diplomas, admission of the children in I grade ahead of time and higher education. Call Center received the appeals mostly on Wednesday from 10:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 15:00 over last month. Citizens Reception Center received the appeals mostly on Wednesday and Tuesday (1411 appeals) from 10:30 to 12:30 and from 14:00 to 16:00.

Holiday gift envisaged for 1250 families, have been distributed by the representatives of Ministry to the families who are temporarily settling in Goygol region. As every year, Ministry again demonstrated his tradition on support in IDPs (internally displaced persons) from Kalbajar, also support in the persons who deprived from their native lands as a result of occupation policy of Armenia and moral support in them. Holiday gift envisaged for 1250 families, have been distributed by the representatives of Ministry to the families who are temporarily settling in Goygol region. Displaced persons expressed their gratitude for rendered attention and care and they hope our occupied lands will be liberated as a result of policy purposefully implemented by our President soon.

According to the tasks of state leader, purposeful and consecutive actions are implemented on the direction of acceleration of social-economical development of Baku and surrounding districts. According to plan of the actions envisaged in Special State Program, capital restoration of educational, helath, cultural establihsments, as well as repair of new school buildings, construction of the kindergartens are implemented successfully. As in all parts of the country, on the eve of new academic year, secondary school buildings in both capital and also surrounding districts, are re-constructed and equipped with relevant facilities. One group of the pupils of Ismayilli region who has close reation with Ito city of Japan, firstly visited in this country. Visit took place under treaty on exchange of Frienship singed between Ito city of Shizuoka prefecture of Japan and Ismayilli region of Azerbaijan on November of the last year. 6 pupils of secondary schools No. 1 and No. 6 of Ismayilli region, is accompanied by Rasim Ojagov, director of Regional Education Department. Azerbaijani pupils were acquainted with wonderful places of Tokio, also visited embassy of Azerbaijan to Japan in two days of visit. Pupils of Ismayilli region have been corresponding with the pupils of Ito city for several years. The same letters played important role in close cooperation of these cities. Visiting in Ito city, pupils who were distinguished in the last academic year of Ismayilli region, will meet their peers. Visit of Japan’ pupils in Ismayilli region, is planned for the next year. Khanum Kazuko Ishida, representative of “International Homestay Club” of Ito city stated that, “Azerbaijani pupils will face with rich visit program in Ito city. So, pupils of Ismaliyilli region will live in the families of their peers, also will be closely acquainted with japan life style, domestic relations and national culture within framework of program “Homstay” during visit. According to visit program, meeting of Azerbaijani pupils with major of Ito city is envisaged”.
