According to statistics, during the period from December 10, 2013 year to February 25, 2014 year the Call Center (Telephone Information Center) received 7889 calls. From January, 23rd till February, 25th in the Center of Reception of Citizens of the Ministry of Education 5663 citizens have been served. Let's note, that the majority of references had help character. From 13552 references in both of the Center on 6585 immediately were answered and they have been operatively solved. According to 6967 references of citizens, they have been recorded on reception of responsible officials of the Ministry of Education. In the references which have acted in the Centers, were reflected issues related to more than just receiving the documents, the list of the documents needed for the recognition of diplomas, pre-school and general education, employment, repair and reconstruction of educational institutions. The references which are characterized complaints, have been registered by means of a special program and forwarded to the appropriate subdivisions of the Ministry. For general information, it should be noted  that in February of current year, in a Telephone Call Center received 3090 calls, and it as compared to the analogical period of previous year in 4 times is more. In the Telephone Call Center and the Center of Reception of Citizens, citizens are most often addressed on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 16:00.

 At the event organized in Shemakhi Astrophysical Observatory named after Nasraddin Tusi, guests were greeted by the director of establishment, the corresponding member of ANAS (Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences) Eyyub Guliyev. Then, the head of the department of public affairs of Central Apparatus of Presidium ANAS Said Guseynov declared that the Ministry of Education together with ANAS started in the regions promoting unity, "education - science" to the school students. The purpose of the actions starting in Shemakha, is an increase of interest of the young generation to science. Then, the President of the Young Scientists and Specialists of ANAS, Doctor of philosophy in the field of physics Famin Suleymanov noted the important role of similar activities in the direction of popularization tandem "education-science", a role young people in development of intellectual society. Stressed that it was important to join efforts in the direction of the development of youth interest in science. Noted that the effective use of the potential of young people and their involvement in science are priority directions. And the Director of the Education Department of Shamakhi district Eyvaz Èminaliev spoke about the state support in the field of education. He noted, that in Shemakha about 12 000 school students are trained. Each year they participate in the subject Olympiads, in competitions for writing essays, the art of reading and in other competitions. After the presentations, the young scientists of institutes on Problems of Physics and Chemistry of NANA have demonstrated entertaining experiments, have given scientific explanation of experiments that caused the surprise of students. Information on the role of experiments in domestic living and production has aroused great interest from the students, were given answers to their numerous questions.

 The main purpose of the qualifying round to identify the talented students and ensuring the development of their creative potential. In selection round were participated 659 pupils of the V-X classes in selection on mathematics, 215 pupils of the VIII-X classes on physics, 199 pupils of the VIII-X classes in chemistry, 210 pupils of the VI-X classes in biology, 235 pupils of the VI-X classes in informatics (computer science). Questions for selection of children were prepared by the chairman of the board of jury and the executive secretaries of the subject olympiads. It is provided, repeatedly to carry out (for the second time) a choice between school students who showed the best results in selection round. The training of students who has demonstrated the highest results, will be provided for participation in international subject olympiads. The work on the preparation of students for competition will be led: on mathematics by the teacher of Baku State University - doctor of philosophy Rafiq Guliyev, on the subject of physics - dean of the faculty of physics of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, doctor of physical and mathematical sciences Mirzali Murğuzov, on the subject of chemistry - director of the Institute of Petrochemical Processes, of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, academic Vagif Abbasov, on subject of biology - head of the department of ASPU, doctor of biological sciences Adalet Farajov, on the subject of informatics (computer science) – teacher of BSU, doctor of physical and mathematical sciences Ramin Mahmudzade.

 In accordance with the "Regulations on the Evaluation of Textbooks", approved by the decree No. 252 of the Minister of Education of the Azerbaijan Republic from February 27, 2014, the statements, wishing to participate in competition for the selection of the members of Council on the Textbook Evaluation created with a view to the effective organization of the process of evaluation and examination of school textbooks, will be accepted on March 3-18, 2014. The competition purpose, according to requirements "The state Strategy on a development of education in the Azerbaijan Republic", consists in increase of efficiency of reforms which will be carried out in the content of education and in ensuring transparency of an assessment and examination of the textbooks prepared for comprehensive schools.  The Ministry of Education gives an important value to expansion of works on informing the public on the above-mentioned documents, and in particular to fuller explanation of new possibilities for students. Taking into account all of it, on February, 24-28th, 2014 on page Facebook of the Ministry of Education have been given answers to the questions connected with higher education. During this period, the Facebook page of the Ministry of education received, in total, 326 issues and through the comments were answered. The users of Facebook had spread mainly issues related to the transfer, recovery, and an academic leave persons in higher educational institutions at steps of the bachelor and a magistracy (33 percent), with the organization of training at steps of the bachelor and a magistracy on credit system (22 percent), with changing of the form of training (7 percent), with the recognition of documents on higher education (6 percent), with activity of branches of Azerbaijani Institute of Teachers (5 percent), with the cost of training (2 percent), with training abroad (2 percent) and other questions. This event, has once again revealed the great interest among the general public to the ongoing reforms of higher education spent in the country. The Ministry of Education intends to continue this tradition, paying special attention to opinions of all layers of the population, plans to consider in the future activity all constructive proposals.

An order serves the purpose of improving of activity of the Institute of Educational Problems (IEP). In the order is provided, the offer to the employees who have got under reduction, vacant workplaces in IEP according to their specialty, in accordance with their specialization, given their skills and experience. In accordance with the order, in the structure of the IEP has 18 departments, the Secretariat, 1 sector and research library. Divisions of the general curriculum and out-of-school education, monitoring and evaluation, including the Division of professional education provided yet more staff. In the “State Strategy for the Development of Education in the Republic of Azerbaijan” are stipulated some important questions, from the point of view of, creations of textbooks, maintenance of an appropriating choice of textbooks with teachers and students, maintenance of each student at a level of the general education by computers-tablets, with the electronic textbooks recorded on them. All this gives us grounds to say that educational policy is a priority for the Ministry of Education. The important tasks entrusted to the newly established Department of “methodology of textbooks and teaching manuals” in enhancing the effectiveness of the reforms undertaken by the Ministry of Education in this area. It should be noted, that in the new structure of IEP activity of self-supporting structural divisions is stipulated.

The Minister of Education has handed over Ramiz Askerov an award "Glories." Having congratulated the well-known scientific philologist, the minister has wished it successes in the further activity. He spoke about merits of Ramiz Askerov in a development of education and sciences of Azerbaijan and has expressed confidence that, R. Askerov after that will continue with success the effective activity. Doctor of philology Ramiz Askerov has expressed deep gratitude to the President of the country for so appreciation of its activity. He has noticed that will use the best efforts for the sake of the further development of education, a science and publicism in Azerbaijan. Let's notice, that Ramiz Askerov was born on January 10th, 1954 in a teacher's family, in village Azizbekov (Qarachanta) area Amasiya of the Western Azerbaijan. In 1971 has left school with a gold medal. In 1972 has arrived on faculty of journalism of the Baku State University. With 1975 as the successful student was trained at faculty of journalism of Lomonosov Moscow State University and has ended training in 1978 year. In 1978-1983 he has worked in the State Committee Television and Radio of Transfers of Azerbaijan. In 1983-1987 worked in the Society of Friendship and a cultural contact of Azerbaijan with the Foreign States. There was the editor-in-chief of magazine "Azerbaijan today", published on seven languages (Azerbaijan, Russian, English, French, German, Turkish, Arabian, Persian). In 1988-1991 worked as the editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Odlar Yurdu". Since 2002 he works at the Baku State University. In 2012 has been selected as a head of department "Literature of the Turkish People". The author of 10 monographs and about 200 scientific articles. According to the decree of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic dated July 21st, 2010 he has been awarded an honorary title "Honored journalist".
