On September 14, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, attended the inauguration of the new Clinic Building of Garabagh University and the academic building of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences in the city of Khankendi.   Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev, Rector of Garabagh University Shahin Bayramov, and Head of the Garabagh University Clinic and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Samir Babayev, informed the head of state about the facilities.   Starting from the new academic year, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Garabagh University will begin operations. The facility is equipped with modern infrastructure that meets modern standards. It includes 10 lecture rooms, 9 auditoriums, 3 laboratories, work and examination rooms, recreation areas, a library, and briefing halls. The faculty will also house microbiology and histology laboratories, a cell culture facility, and administrative offices. The faculty will offer a six-year medical program and a four-year nursing program, developed jointly by local and international experts in line with global best practices. The modern educational model to be implemented will enable students to combine theoretical knowledge with practical skills at the Garabagh University Clinic. Students will also have ample opportunities to conduct research and develop leadership qualities. A distinctive feature of the faculty is the inclusion of an arts program as an elective course, aimed at fostering students’ self-expression, teamwork, and communication skills.   The head of state also toured the Garabagh University Clinic, which was established under a decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev in February this year. The clinic building includes 23 medical consultation rooms, laboratories, an X-ray room, an emergency department, and MRI, CT, and angiography rooms. Within a short period, a modern infrastructure for medical education has been created at the university. The clinic will play a crucial role in training professional medical personnel, conducting scientific research, and protecting the health of the region’s population. It will also serve as a base for teaching, research, and medical services.   The establishment of the Garabagh University Clinic and the launch of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences represent significant steps toward training professional medical specialists in line with the demands of the new era. Furthermore, the scientific research carried out at the clinic will contribute to enhancing Garabagh University’s academic reputation and international ranking, as well as advancing medical science in Azerbaijan. The opening ceremony for the football pitch built at a secondary school No. 247 as part of the “FIFA Arena” project took place on 8 September.   The event was attended by AFFA President Rovshan Najaf, the Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Emin Amrullayev, President of the Ukrainian Association of Football Andriy Shevchenko, officials from AFFA, FIFA, and the Ministry of Science and Education, representatives of the football community, and schoolchildren.   The speeches emphasized the importance of such projects for the healthy development of schoolchildren, the promotion of sports culture, and the popularization of football. During the event, a video message from FIFA President Gianni Infantino about the successful implementation of the project was also shown.   It should be noted that, as part of the ‘FIFA Arena’ project, football pitches were built at two secondary schools in Baku city (Schools #138 and #247) at the initiative of the AFFA (Azerbaijan Football Federation Association). More than 6,000 students will directly benefit from this project.

On July 18, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the opening ceremony of nursery-kindergarten No. 1, which has a capacity of 160 seats, in the city of Aghdam.   The construction of the nursery-kindergarten was carried out under the framework of the “First State Program on the Great Return to the Liberated Territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan.” Construction began last February.   In February of this year, President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva reviewed the progress of the construction.   The preschool facility is fully equipped to ensure children’s comfort and to support high-quality education and upbringing. The building includes playrooms, bedrooms, as well as music, dance, and sports halls.   Alongside the resettlement of the population in the liberated territories, consistent efforts are made to build preschool educational institutions. Such projects are an integral part of the restoration and reconstruction efforts in these areas and carry significant importance.   https://president.az

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the inauguration of Aghdam city secondary school No. 1, designed to accommodate 960 students.   Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev briefed the President on the facilities established at the school.   The foundation of the school was laid by President Ilham Aliyev on May 28, 2021. In February of this year, the President and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva reviewed the construction progress.   Constructed as part of the “First State Program on the Great Return to the Liberated Territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan,” the school building comprises 43 classrooms, 16 administrative offices, and a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) center with seven rooms. It also features modern physics, chemistry, and biology laboratories, an informatics room, a pre-military training room, a library, a museum, a 352-seat canteen, a 468-seat assembly hall, two indoor sports halls, as well as a football pitch and basketball court for teachers and students.   Establishing a modern educational infrastructure in Karabakh remains a top priority. Under President Ilham Aliyev’s leadership, large-scale efforts are underway to restore and develop educational facilities across the liberated territories.
