Nazirlər Şurasının 30 iyun 1918-ci il tarixli qərarı ilə Xalq Maarifi Nazirliyinin üç şöbədən (ümumi orta təhsil, ali və orta ixtisas təhsili, peşə məktəbləri) ibarət strukturu təsdiq olunub.

    Azərbaycan SSR Xalq Komissarları Sovetinin 28 aprel 1920-ci il tarixli qərarı ilə Xalq Maarifi Nazirliyinin adı dəyişdirilərək Xalq Maarifi Komissarlığı adı ilə yenidən təşkil edilib və ölkədəki bütün təhsil müəssisələri bu qurumun tabeliyinə verilib.

Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan hold a ceremony for signing education documents

A ceremony for signing Azerbaijani-Kazakhstani documents was held on March 11 with the participation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Kasym-Jomart Tokayev. During the ceremony, Minister of Science and Education of Azerbaijan Emin Amrullayev and Minister of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek signed a "Protocol on amendments to the agreement on cooperation in the field of education between the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan dated April 3, 2017." As per the protocol, the involved parties intend to exchange students annually across various programs: three individuals for bachelor's degree programs, five for master's degree programs, two for doctoral degree programs, two for basic (basic higher) medical education programs, and two for residency programs. Kazakhstan has agreed to facilitate the training of five individuals in disciplines such as information and communication technology, engineering, processing, and the building industry. They will also provide training for another five people in agricultural and bio-resources, art and humanities, social sciences, journalism, information, business, management, and law. Furthermore, two people will be trained in the fields of healthcare and social security. The Azerbaijani side will train three people in technical and technological specialties, three in humanitarian and social specialties, three in economic and managerial specialties, one in natural specialties, and two in basic (basic higher) medical education and residency. According to the protocol, both parties will work together to enable student accommodation in dorms linked with higher educational institutions in Azerbaijan and higher (or postgraduate) educational institutions in Kazakhstan.

On March 11, within the framework of the visit of the delegation headed by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kasym-Jomart Tokayev, to Azerbaijan, Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev met with the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek.   During the meeting, an exchange of views was held on issues related to the implementation of measures arising from the "Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement on Cooperation between the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of education dated April 3, 2017".   The meeting also discussed the current state of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of science and education, as well as the prospects for the development of cooperation.

The Ministry of Science and Education held a meeting with the delegation of the Ministry of Education of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

On March 4, Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Science and Education, Hasan Hasanli, held a fruitful meeting with a delegation from the Ministry of Education of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during their official visit to Azerbaijan.   The discussions during the meeting focused on assessing the existing state of collaboration and exploring future prospects for cooperation in the field of science and education between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia.

Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Ministry of Science and Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary

On March 1, the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation under the "Stipendium Hungaricum" program for the years 2024-2026.   The memorandum was signed by Deputy Minister of Science and Education Hasan Hasanli and Hungarian State Secretary for Security Policy and Energy Security Peter Staray.   According to the memorandum, under the "Stipendium Hungaricum" program it is planned to allocate 200 annual scholarships to citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan to study in Hungarian or a foreign language in Hungary. In addition, the Azerbaijani side annually allocates 10 scholarships to Hungarian citizens to study in Azerbaijani, English or Russian language in higher educational institutions of our country.   It should be noted that the purpose of the Memorandum of Understanding is to support the expansion of cooperation between the two countries in the long term, thereby contributing to the development of a knowledge-based society and a mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of higher education.

Minister of Science and Education meets with the head of TUBITAK

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev has met with President of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) Hasan Mandal on February 28.   During the meeting, the pair discussed the current state of and prospects for cooperation in the field of science and education between the Ministry of Science and Education and TUBITAK.

The Minister of Science and Education visits the United Arab Emirates

On February 12–14, Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullaev met with UAE Minister of Education Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, as well as the Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technology and Chair of the Board of Directors of “Emirates School Estate” Sarah Al Amiri, on the sidelines of the World Government Summit held in Dubai.   During the meetings the current state and prospects of development of cooperation in the field of science and education between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates were discussed.

Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Giorgi Amilakhvari, is on a visit to Azerbaijan

The Georgian Minister of Education, Science, and Youth, Giorgi Amilakhvari, has been on a visit to Azerbaijan since January 24.   On the first day of the visit, Giorgi Amilakhvari met with the Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullaev. At the meeting, the current state and prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia in the field of science and education were discussed.   Giorgi Amilahvari also visited ADA University and met with Rector Hafiz Pashayev.

Minister of Science and Education meets with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Sierra Leone to Azerbaijan

The Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev met with  the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Sierra Leone to Azerbaijan Alie Badara Kamara on January 19.   During the meeting, the current state of cooperation between the two countries in the field of science and education was discussed.

On January 18, the Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev met with Essam bin Saleh Al- Jutaili,  the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to our country.    During the meeting, the current state of co-operation between the two countries in the field of science and education and the prospects of development of cooperation relations were discussed.

On January 17, Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullaev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Azerbaijan Kairat Osmonaliev.   During the meeting, the current state of co-operation between the two countries in the field of science and education and the prospects of development of cooperation relations were discussed.
