Elnur Aliyev, acting head of Baku City Education Department made a speech with presentation about education system of Azerbaijan in the event held in Paris Sarbonna Abu Dabi. Elnur Aliyev informed event’s participants about the successes achieved on the sphere of education in Azerbaijan, development processes taking place on this sphere, also important works performed on the direction of modernization of education infrastructure in our country lately. Touching upon education reforms implemented in our country, Elnur Aliyev talked about importance of “State Strategy on development of education in Azerbaijan Republic” approved by the order of The President of Azerbaijan Republic. Mentioning new phase of Azerbaijan education recently, Elnur Aliyev pointed protection of national-cultural values, traditions in reform-oriented actions performed on the sphere of education, at the same time learning of eudcation systems’ experience of advanced countries and envisaging modern requirements.    Abu Dhabi Education Council’s representatives made the discussions on the different topics and the issues on training of teacher and school’s managers, have been touched upon within framework of visit.

Ilham Nagiyev, deputy head of human resources department of The Ministry of Education, Casarat Valehov, deputy head of Information department, Emin Amrullayev, head of sector on valuation of education quality, Hasan Hasanli head of sector on work with the foreign students and study in abroad, took part in press conference. Informing about e-textbook portal, Emin Amrullayev stated that, more than 5 000 persons used these resources till today. More half of them are living in Baku. Nearly 1000 users benefited from resource that belongs to the textbook of Azerbaijan language. Sector’s head reminded that, e-textbooks on 6 th grade of Azerbaijan section, have been placed in the portal. 5 e- textbook will be placed separately on II and III grades, also 10 e-textbooks on VII grade in near future. Informing about contest held within framework of “State program on study of Azerbaijan youth in the foreign countries for 2007-2015” for 2014-2015 academic year, Hasan Hasanli stated that, process ended. The number of the students who have distinguishing academic indicators compared to the previous years, was more in selection process held under higher competition environment. As a result of the contests held through participation of the representatives of governmental bodies and higher education institutions, the name of 572 students who obtained chance to study in world famous higher education institutions, have been included in program’s grant-holders. Generally, 3183 students have been sent to abroad within framework of program till today. Sector’s head stated that, study of azerbaijani youth will be implemented under “State Program on study of Azerbaijan youth in the foreign countries for 200-2015” in the next year. But, now The Ministry of Education prepares new State Program on study of Azerbaijan youth in the foreign countries for 2015- 2020 because of State Program will end in 2015. Informing about the projects implemented by The Mnistry of Education on diferent direction, Casarat Valehov stated that, The Ministry of Education will organize “Flag marsh” related to The Day of State Flag of Azerbaijan Republic on november 8. Upper grade pupils differed in the secondary education schools of Baku, Sumgait and Absheron region, also the pupils of higher education institutions’ SABAH groups and “The scholarship of future teacher” will take part in the marsh. Main goal in organization of marsh, is to introduce the participants historical state emblems of Azeraijan in State Flag Museum and agitation of national attributes. Casarat Valehov, informed about the second project contest implemented within framework of project “Support in public initiatives” of The Ministry of Education. More than 100 projects, have been submitted in the contest to be completed by NGO and separate initiative groups. According to the decision of valuation commission, 21 projects were selected as purposeful for execution on the sphere of education. Other project is telecast contest held on the topic of “Future- is teacher’s composition. Goal of this contest held among the journalists, is to coverage activity of young teachers functioning in rural schools, contribute increase of teacher’s reputatin among community. The plots demonstrated in both of regional and republic tv channels, have been presented to the contest. The winners of plot contest, have been awarded in the event. The Ministry of Education’ s representatives responded several questions in the conference.

Authorized persons of the ministry, the leaders of relevant structure sections and departments, the rectors of higher education institutions, took part together with board’ s members in the event. The issues on the subjects of organization of teaching with credit system at the levels of bachelor and master of higher education institutions, establishment of SABAH groups, student credits and grants’ project, the results of teachers’ recruitment in the secondary education institutions and vocational lyceums, execution condition of “State Program on study of Azerbaijan youth in the foreign countries for 2007-2015”, approval of normative- legal acts, have been discussed in board’ s meeting. Mikayil Jabbarov, the minister of education made a speech in board’s meeting. The minister expressed his opinions about existing problems and its elimination methods, the priorities, achieved successes, the reforms implemented during 1 year over past period from adoption of “State Strategy on development of education in Azerbaijan Republic”. Then, the lecturers informed aout relevant issues in detailed, also talked on importance of the works performed on these spheres. After lecture, different opinions on the discussed problems, have been sounded and the proposals that serve to increase of efficincy of the actions to be performed on relevant diections, have been put forward.

More 4 of 30 teams who represent 15 regions of our country in the knowledge struggle broadcasted via AzTV channel and organized in “Baku Crystal Hall”. “Barda” and “Baku Higher Oil School” met in the first qualification game. The winner in the game organized at equal level, determined the latest question. Responding this question correctly, “Baku Higher Oil School” team won the game with the score of 5:4. The second qualification game has been held between “Ganja” and “Khizi” teams. “Khizi” team won the game with 2 points. So, “Baku Higher Oil School” and “Khizi” teams met n the final ga,e that consist of 2 games. The winner of final game, has been determined through extra question because of general score was equal. Responding this question correctly, “Baku Higher Oil School” team achieved chance to play in the final game. So, the first winner of bain ring on november, was “Baku Higher Oil School” team.    Season final of this intellectual contest supported by The Heydar Aliyev Fund, The Minstry of Education, The Ministry of Youth and Sport, will take place on december. The winners of september, november and december will meet in te final game.  The winner of contest will get “The cup of knowledge” and will be awarded to    valuable prizes.

Master lesson organized on the topic of “Modern theatre and new language for self- expression” for the students studying at the faculty of theatre science, producer, actor’s activity, was watched with a great interest. Professor talked about systematic creation of theatre, history, theatre in XX century, training of new actors, development way passed by theatre in different trends, its different forms, formation of modern producer in detailed. It should be reminded that, the first lesson was conducted by Sabina Hajiyeva, who is our compatriot living in England and engaged in jazz within framework of “Master lessons” project on september. The next “Master lessons” will be contucted by Piter Goldfard, vice– president of Training and Education Committee of USA International Theatre Institute, Boris Daussa- Pastor, professor of Barselona Theatre Institute of Spain on  november 6, Patrik Kunen, famous theatre producer, writer and composer of Great Britain on november 7.

Upper grade pupils of the secondary schools of Baku, Sumgait as well as Absheron region differed in the study, the students of SABAH groups of the universities and students who obtain “The scholarship of future’s teacher”, will take part in the marsh. Main goal in organization of marsh, is to agitate our national attributes and introduce historical Azerbaijan state emblems to the paticipants in the State Flag Museum.    “Flag marsh” is expected to continue starting from Parachute tower located in the National Park to State Flag Square.

The leaders of different section and structure of The Minsitry of Education, the deputies, public figures also took part in the marsh organzed related to The Day of State Flag. The flag marsh started with sounding of The State Anthem of Azerbaijan. Then, opening the event with introduction speech, Firudin Gurbanov pointed that, our tricolor flag waving above our heads as symbol of our national soverignity became one of holy statehood emblems for all citizens of our country after restortion of independence of Azerbaijan Republic. This flag that is memory of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, demonstrates our idea of freedom, national-moral values and our loyality to the universal ideals. This flag approved as state emblem by our national leader Heydar Aliyev for the first time after obtaining of independence, also symbolizes our development, opening to the world. Then, marsh where more than 500 persons took part continued till State Flag Square starting from Parachute tower located in the National park. The marsh’s participants were acquainted with “The flag musem” in the State Flag Square.

Making a speech in the opening ceremony of scientifical festival organized for the first time in our country, Akif Alizada, the president of The National Academy of Sciences, pointed that this scientifical training to be lasted for 2 days will keep significant place in agitation of scientifical achievements. Academy’s leader informed about scienc’s development and the priorities. Ali Abbasov, minister of communication and higher technologies stressed that, science is a great and very important sphere. According to his speech, today there is a great need for scientifical development of private sector, private sector looks forward for higher competent and talented personnel from science institutions. Delivering the greetings of Mikayil Jabbarov, minister of education to event’s participants, Firudin Gurbanov deputy minster of education evaluated organization of Baku Science Festival in “The year of industry” as significant event. He pointed that, core misison of festival is to agitate modern scientifical knowledges, involve the youth in scientifical action, increase the interests to the studies, create dialogue between science and community. Stressing vital importance of the technologies in our life in modern time, the deputy minister pointed rapid growing of demand for the persons who have higher intellect.  Firudni Gurbanov stated that, education system actvely participates in amplification of science’s personnel potential. The education system is core circle in creation of both of production and science sphere’ potential.  Generally, 8 scientifical excursion have been organized to Azerbaijan history, Archeology and Etnography museums on the directions incorporated in the program on the first day of festival to be lasted for 2 days. Also, The events have been organized in the several structures of The National Academy of Sciences, as well as higher education institutions, the secondary schools no. 6, 23 and 132-134 of the capital within framework of festival’s program. The demonstration of the exhibits that consist of the invents of our country’s scientists, interesting discussions and entertaining science shows, are envisaged on the second day of festival.

The goal of traininng, is to educate the directors who appropriated modern management knowledge and ability for primary vocational education institution, who are familiar with information technologies, who can contribute in social and education development of country and imrpove their skills. Firudin Gurbanov,deputy minister of education who made a speech in the event held on the occasion of commencement of “Leadership and management” training, informed about the reforms implemented of the sphere of social-economic in Azerbaijan. Reminding special importance given to non-oil sector, stated that role of vocational education is very important in the development of this sphere. F. Gurbanov pointed that, there is a great place to vocational education in “State Stragety on Development of Education in the Azerbaijan Republic”. The deputy minister stressed his hope for contribution of this training in the development of vocational education. Henning Tvesten, the representative of “GIZ” Germany International Cooperation Society to our country, Anar Mammadov, the expert of “Allianz Consult” LLC informed about training in detailed. The participants of “Leadership and management” training conducted for prmary vocational education institutions and personel who have intention to function at this post, have ben determined through contest by The Ministry of Education, “Allianz Consult” LLC and GIZ” Germany International Cooperation Society. The trainings will surround primary vocational education institutions functioning in Baku forinitial phase. The trainings will be managed by two groups that consist of 1 international expert and 1 local expert. The participants will take part in the examination organized by The Ministry of Education after the trainings that will last for 3 months. “The certificate of success” will be presented to the persons who obtain satisfactory result in the examinations. The certain motivations will be applied for increase of efficiency in the works of the persons functioning as an director of primary vocational education institution and who obtained “The certificate of success”. Now, the persons who don’t work as an director, will be recorded as reserve to be appointed in the vacant positions on the posts of director.

The goal of visit is to take part in the conference organized on the topic of “Durable Development and Education” by UNESCO and Japan. The conference has been dedicated to the results of differet projects implemented on the sphere of education under direction of achievement of durable development in the different countries of the world by UN and discussion of the actions to taken on this deirection during the next 10 years. The deputy minister informed about the state programs implemented by Azerbaijan government on the sphere of durable development and education, “State Strategy on development of education in the Azerbaijan Republic”, as well as the projects implemented on relevant  directions by Heydar Aliyev Fund within framework of the event. The officils of The Ministry of Education made a speech with the presentations on different topics in the discussions performed at the level of the experts.
