Key goal of the event is to discuss future education policy of ISESCO, programs and working methods to be carried out, as well as enhance the cooperation between National Committees and ISESCO, exchange of experiences between the organization and National Committees and other issues. In the assembly the representatives of 6 ISESCO member countries, as well as Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Maldivian Republic, Pakistan and Tajikistan, including ISESCO representatives. Regional assembly will finish in October 24.

Based on neighboring policy of the European Union, Azerbaijan joined the “eTwinning Plus Project” since 2013. Emerging as a result of expansion of “eTwinning Project” that is a part of European Union Lifelong Learning Program, “eTwinning Plus Project” enables pedagogical team to create online intercourse, cooperation, education projects and be a part of the most interesting learning community in Europe. At the event, detailed information will be provided about this project that will serve to strengthening of relations with the European Commission, significance of the project for teachers and pupils will be covered. Activities implemented and planned within the “eTwinning Plus Project”, presentation on key project features will be given to the attention of participants.

 Based on the Order on “Enhancing the Scope of Project on Intensive English Language Teaching”, it’s decided to implement the “Intensive English Language Teaching” Project, applied in 7 pilot schools of Baku city since 2008-2009 education year, in 50 pilot schools within 2013-2014 education year. Also, continuation of joint project of the Ministry of Education and “British Council” in I-IV and V-X forms of the selected pilot schools of Baku city and its applying to I forms of secondary school #116 of Baku city are considered in the Order. In the Order the start to implement the project is also noted in: I forms of Ganja city gymnasium with foreign languages bias and secondary school #4, Mingachevir city schools #3 and #4, Sumgait “Tafakkur” lyceum and school #23, Shirvan city schools #9 and #21, Guba city schools #3 and #4, Gusar city #2 and #6, Khachmaz #1 and #8, Shamakhi European lyceum and school #2, Ismayilli city schools # 3 and #5, Shaki city schools #8 and #10, Gabala city schools #3 and #1, Zagatala city school #2 and lyceum with technical bias named after academician Zarifa Aliyeva,  Lankaran city school #4 and gymnasium with foreign languages bias, Yevlakh city schools #5 and #9, Salyan city secondary schools #1 and #7. Also in the order the issues such as: provision of 520 English language teachers with relevant trainings during teaching year, provision of pilot schools with manuals and supplies have been described. Signing the relevant memoranda serves to the aims such as contribution of high-level development of Azerbaijan economy, provision of improvement of qualified staff training system convenient with the requirements of labor market according to the State Program on social-economic development of regions, strengthening th relations with employer organizations. Also, the memoranda includes the issues such as: improving the skills and capabilities of teachers and students in vocational education, taking joint actions for their possessing of scientific-technical skills and improving the public system of vocational education system. By making opening speech at the event, Mikayil Jabbarov, the Minister of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, greeted the participants. The Minister talked about the importance of signing bilateral cooperation memoranda on support of activities of the first vocational education entities among the Ministry of Education, State Oil Company and “Azersu” Open Joint Stock Company. By emphasizing that the needs of State Oil Company and “Azersu” Open Joint Stock Company would be considered while defining the acceptance plan of first vocational education entities by the Ministry of Education, the Minister of Education also stated that vocational education standards and subject curriculums required for relevant specialties would be jointly prepared within the cooperation. The Minister also stated that organization of know-how for students of first vocational education entities, acceptance to paid summer internship program, conduction of relevant trainings for engineer-pedagogical staff working in the first vocational education entities have been considered. By stressing the necessity of improving the prestige of the first vocational education, the Minister of Education gave info on the upcoming activities regarding preparation and implementation of joint programs, organization of joint researches, discussions and debates. Rovnag Abdullayev, the President of the State Oil Company, stated he was sure about successful outcomes of the cooperation with the Ministry of Education towards support of the activities of the first vocational education entities and staff preparation for needed specialties. The president of the State Oil Company noted that as a result of fast development of Azerbaijan economy, relevant cooperation has a significant role in meeting the need for higher level and qualified staff in the labor market of our country. Gorkhmaz Huseynov, chairman of “Azersu” Open Joint Stock Company, informed on the successful implementation of the projects for provision of most residential settlements with potable water. By emphasizing the mutual cooperation with the Ministry of Education enabled the systematized approach to the preparation of relevant specialists with professional competencies, the chairman of “Azersu” OJSC expressed his assure of the successful implementation of future mutual efforts. Then the Ministry of Education, State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan and “Azersu” Open Joint Stock Company signed bilateral cooperation memoranda on support of activities of the first vocational education entities.

It’s to note that Arzu Tairguliyeva had Bachelor’s Degree in Caucasian Studies of Department of History in the Baku State University within 2004-2008, Master’s Degree in American Studies of Department of International relations and Region Studies in the Azerbaijan University of Languages within 2008-2010. In 2012-2013 she earned Master’s Degree in the School of Interdisciplinary Studies of the College of Social Sciences of Great Britain Glasgow University within the “State Program for Study of Azerbaijan youth abroad for 2007-2015”.

Students started to get acquainted with the exhibition. The Ministry of Education will enhance such initiatives in future seriously affecting to the formation of high level aesthetic and philosophic – artistic taste of the students. Especially, the event held at the Heydar Aliyev Centre will enable the students to get acquainted with the rich interior composition of the Centre considered as a modern architectural pearl. In the exhibition there are more than 100 works made in different periods including the latest ones by T.Salahov who raised the fine arts of Azerbaijan. Here includes the portrait of Heydar Aliyev, nationwide leader of Azerbaijani people, as well as portraits of notable artists such as Gara Garayev, Dmitry Shostakovich and Mstislav Rostropovich, works such as “To You, the Mankind”, “Aydan”, “Oilman’s portrait”, “Alagoz – Oriental Legend”, “Aydan – Oriental star”, Land of Fire Tryptich – “Temple of Fire Worshippers”, “Caspian Sea Today”, “Maiden Tower”. In the exhibition there are works by T.Salahov that demonstrated for the first time at the Heydar Aliyev Centre. The exhibition achieved great interest by the country publicity will go on by November 6.

Trips engaging 900 pupils have been of interest also by teachers and pupils. The pupils firstly visited Archeological-Ethnographical Museum Complex “Gala” and Antiquary Museum “Gala” and got info on the history of Gala settlement. Gala Castle and other monuments existing in the preservation area impressed the pupils. During the trips the pupils took interesting photos, collected historical facts, got closely acquainted with life style and professions of our ancestors. The pupils stated they’d like to participate with great pleasure in future trips enabling acquaintance with Azerbaijan’s rich history, material and cultural monuments, and tanning the love to Motherland.

The key purpose of these changes is to improve the efficiency of BCED activities, achieve the application of modern methods in the management and provision of transparency. According to the new structure, Naila Rzaguliyeva has been appointed as a head of Baku City Education Department, Mammadali Kasamanli, Nargiz Safarova and Huseyn Asgarov as deputy heads of BCED. Implementation of a position of first deputy head of the Education Department has been entrusted to Elnur Aliyev, head of Information Department of the Ministry of Education. There have also been other changes in the Department.

The pupils were much interested in the trips dedicated to the mutual integration of history of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani language and literature subjects. During the trips consisting of two parts the pupils demonstrated a special activity in the open-air lessons. Not surprisingly, the pupils demonstrated more frequent and creative intelligence in the open-air lessons. During such lessons the pupils intend to communication and prefer mutual cooperation with the classmates. All these make a significant importance from the standpoint of improving the training quality and revealing pupils’ potential capabilities.
