According to the lists approved by order no.8 dated february 9, 2015 of chairman of The Education Commission under The President of Azerbaijan Republic, youth will be able to appeal by purpose to study on relevant priority specialty directions in 419 higher educational institutions of 33 countries of world within framework of State Program for 2015-2016. Enlargement of priority specialty directions, adding of new specialty directons as higher technologies, industry, ecology will allow broad choice opportunity for the pupils in accordance with development priorities of country. Priority specialty directions have been determined as I and II grade. Main preference will be given to I grade specialty directions in the contest to be held this year. Youth will be able to apply State Program only under priority specialty directions for 2015-2016. At the same time, youth who want to continue their studies in master and doctoral level of foreign higher educational institutions, will be given priority in the selection process of the candidates to State Program for 2015-2016. At present, The Ministry of Education is performing preparation works by purpose to organize document receipt process more efficiently and will give additional information on commencement and completion of document receipt process within framework of State Program for 2015-2016 academic year to public in a short time.  The citizens are kindly requested to submit their documents to The Ministry of EduCation personally or via e-mail till commencement of document receipt process. Any document submitted beyond of document receipt process announced officially. State Program approved by the initiative of Mr. Ilham Aliyev, president of country in 2007 and implmented by speial care of state leader, is unique project encountered seldom in the world. Relevant experts appreciated importance of this project in terms of meeting of need for staff potential on priority specialties of country. It should be noted that, name of 5733 students have been included in the list of State Program’s scholars who obtained right to study at the prestigious universities of the world for previous academic year. Preference was given to further education levels after bachelor level in the selections of previous years. So, as a result of the selections 310 persons obtained right to study at master, 44 persons at doctoral, 65 persons to residency degree. 154 studens who have higher indicators on the sphere of engineering, medical, information technologies determined as priority for our country, obtained opportunity to study at base higher medical and bachelor levels. The Ministry of Education’s officials, head of Azerbaijan Branch of “British Council” and chairman of “Sport for Development” Public Union, took part in the ceremony. It was informed in the event that, exemplary project on “TOPs Program- increase of pupil’s physical health, psychological durability and training achievements” has been compiled within framework of joint collaboration and execution of initial phase started since the beginning of 2015 by support of “Bakcell” company. General goal of project implemented by “Sport for Development” Public Union, is to supply the teachers who teach the subject of physical education in the secondary schools with TOPs program- modern education methodology on this subject. Application of this program created by British specialists and widely used in the United Kingdom, will be aimed to create favourable condition that ensures development learner’s action skills, also protect their physical-psychological health during study period.   Firudin Gurbanov, deputy of minister of education stated that, increase of pupils’ physical health, psychological durability and training achievements through physical education and sport is one of priority directions for modern education. This project will also be implemented taking into account relevant actions and activity directions in accordance with “State Strategy on development of education in the Azerbaijan Republic”. Elizabeth White, head of Azerbaijan Branch of “British Council” talked about the projects implemented by organization led by her and business collaboration with The Ministry of Education. Mehman Karimov, member of National Olympic Committee, chairman of “Sport for Development” Public Union, informed about history of TOPs program and its useful features on development of pupils’ action skills, protection of their physical-pschological health. Preparation of methodical means for the teachers for for teaching of physical education lessons and sport exercises in more efficient and innovative form through TOPs methodology within framework of project. Mahabbat Valiyeva, deputy head of Baku City Education Department, appreciated providing of physical education teachers with modern teaching means within framework of this project. Creation of additional opportunities for the pupils who are deprived from their physical health through these new methods, is estimable.    Finally, protocol of intention on cooperation has been signed among The Ministry of Education, “British Council” and “Sport for Development” Public Union.

Goal of championship is to determine staff of team of “Təhsil” Republic Sport Center to be participated in the republic contest to be held on february, also acquainted with weightlifting sections functioning under The Ministry of Education.     Generally 100 athletes of weightlifting sections of sport school functioning under The Ministry of Education competed in the contest held among 16-17 and 13-15 years old juniors.   Team of Republic Specialized Olympic Reserves Child-Youth Sport School no.1 (RSORCYSS) kept 1st place, Specialized Olympic Reserves Child-Youth Athletics School no.5 (SORCYAS) 2nd, Lankaran branch of “Təhsil” Republic Sport Center 3rd place among 13-15 years old juniors in the contest held under hard competition. Athletes of SORCYAS no.5 kept 1st place, Goranboy Child-Youth Sport School 2nd, Ganja branch of “Təhsil” Republic Sport Center 3rd place among 16-17 years old seniors.

Huseyn Aliyev, counselor of education minister stated that, “Scientists of tomorrow” contest is organized for 4 years in Azerbaijan. Organization process of contest is improved year by year, it increases number of the pupils who want to be engaged in the researches. Growing number of the pupils who join in the contest is visual proof for it. Although 149 pupils appealed to join in the contest held in 2013, number of registered pupils reached to 480 persons in this year’s contest. Tatyana Nanayeva, manager of “Intel” corporation that is one of organizators of “Scientists of tomorrow” reminded that, this contest is organized within framework of Intel  ISEF- International Scientific and Engineering Exhibition by participation of the pupils of more than 70 countries in the USA. Stressing significance of Azerbaijan’s experience related to organization of contest, Tatyana Nanayeva recommended other countries that want to join in the exhibiton to benefit this experience.    Tinatin Bochorishvili, representaitve of The Mnistry of Education and Science of Georgia, Prisakaru Abgela, representative of The Ministry of Education of Moldova pointed that, “Scientists of tomorrow” contest has been held at higher level in the Baku. Stressing their great preference to the cooperation with Azerbaijan in the organization of such contests in their countries, generally they stated that, they are interested in the implementation of joint projects on the sphere of education. It should be pointed that, opening ceremony of “Scientists of tomorrow” contest held on february 12 in the Baku. 204 pupils with 106 scientific projects took part in the contest lasted for 3 days. 39 of them are individual, 67 are collective. Along with Baku city, pupils of the secondary schools of different regions of our country presented the projects to the contest. Winners of the contest jointly organized by The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, Heydar Aliyev Center, The Republic Committee of Azerbaijan Educational Workers Free Trade Union and Intel ISEF, will take part in the ISEF- International Science and Engineering Exhibition.

Ceyhun Bayramov, deputy minister of education, Mahabbat Mehdiyeva, department head of Heydar Aliyev Center, Shaig Asgarov, deputy chairman of Republican Committee of Education Workers Free Trade Union, Tatyana Nanayeva, manager of Intel corporation on CIS counries took part in the ceremony. Also, representatives of state authorities, members of Milli Majlis, representatives of international organizations, collaborators of non-governmental organizations, education experts and leaders of education institutions joined in the event. It was informed in the event that, main goal of “Scientists of tomorrow” IV Republic contest is to explain scientific thinking style and research habits to upper grade pupils. This contest is organized within framework of Intel ISEF-International Scientific and Engineering Exhibition held by participation of the pupils of more than 70 countries in the USA. 195 pupils took part with 96 scientific projects in this year’s contest. 27 of them are individual, 69 are collective projects. Along with Baku city, pupils of the secondary schools of different regions of our country submitted the projects to the contest.      The contest has been held within 3 days. “Open door” hours have been organized, pupil and teachers, also media representatives were able to be acquainted with the projects on the last day. Projects submitted in the contest, have been evaluated by Jury on 8 nominations. 47 projects deserved to 3 places have been determined as a result of evluation.    The winners have been awarded to diploma, medal and money prize.

According to citizens’reception schedule of central executive powers’ leaders on town and regions for february, 2015, appeal of the citizens living in the Mingechaur city and Yevlakh, Barda, Agdash regions are listened, most of probelems are settled immediately. Representatives of The Ministry of Education, Sumgait Eduction Department, pupils and parents took part in the event. Fuad Garayev, representative of The Ministry of Education informed about goal of training center, organization of work and perspective expectations. He stated that, as a result of systematic work performed on the sphere of determination development of talented pupils, along with IX, X and XI grade pupils, VII and VIII grade pupils have been involved in this process as well. According to the recommendation of The Ministry of Eduction, monitoring has been held on city in order to select prospective children of secondry schools of Sumgait through 473 pupils who study well and have interests to the subjects of mathematics and physics via establishing working group. 147 persons VII grade, 143 persons VIII grade pupils joined in the monitoring on mathematics. 183 persons form VII and VIII grades took part in the selection on the subject of physics. According to the result of monitoring, pupil who obtained 26 points from mathematics, 28 points from physics, have been determined and the same pupils were included in Training Center for Olympiad.        Parents who made a speech in the ceremony stated that, they appreciate actions performed by The Ministry of Education on the direction of determination and development of talented children. They stressed that, they will fulfill in all their obligations in order to create condition for the pupils to study at higher level.

Participation of more than 30 media representatives is envisaged in the visit organized to Agdjabedi, Agdam and Tartar regions together with The Ministry of Defence. Goal fo visit is to create condition for mass media in the issue of protect information safety and correct disclosure of community in accordance with order of state leader “About some safety actions in the frontline with military forces between Military Forces of Azerbaijan Republic and military forces of Armenian Republic”. Meeting with media representatives will be organized wit the pupils and teaching staff of the schools located in the frontline.      Meeting of teaching staff and pupils with the persons who were awarded to the name of National Hero due to braveness for territorial integrity of our country, is envisaged during visit. Students who study at the 1st year of all higher educational institution on bachelor degree in our country and whose academic indicator is more than 61 points, can take part in the contest. Registration of the students who want to study at SABAH groups had already started. Students can join in the contest through filling in electronic form placed in www.sabah.edu.az website. Contest organized on 64 specialties included in 6 specialties group (nature, education, economy, humanitarian, technical, culture) will be conducted on 3 phases. Students’ academic indicators will be evaluated in the initial phase. Students will pass test examination on English language and logic.
