The project is implemented in accordance with the 2014-2015 Annual Action Plan by the Ministry of Education and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). The international consultancy services related to the project are provided by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). The pilot project on “the use of inclusive education in primary education level” will be primarily conducted in the academic year 2015-2016 in 4 first classes selected from schools No. 220 and No. 138 in Baku.

The candidates for medals were determined in accordance with the "Rules of awarding gold and silver medals to graduates completed secondary education with special achievements". The students of SABAH groups took part in an intensive English language course of EF International Language School within the framework of the summer school. The purpose of the course was to create favorable conditions for the growth of well-educated, skilled and trained students, to improve the English language skills of students of SABAH groups in the visual environment in accordance with the growing demands of the labor market, to support the expansion of their worldviews. During the intensive course, each participant was taught general English on the basis of individual curriculum. The classes were conducted in the form of interactive discussion, lecture, "online" test and working on practical exercises. They provided the parallel development of students` academic writing, reading, speaking and listening skills in English. At the end of a two-week course, students received a certificate by taking part in the examination. The students were involved in the debating club, the essay contest and the discussion of the film beyond the teaching hours. They visited the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Science Museum, the Natural History Museum, St. Paul's Cathedral, the Madame Tussaud`s museum, the House of Parliament, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, St. James's Park, the Greenwich meridian, the National Gallery and other historical and cultural sites. Acquaintance and communication with people from different countries provided great support for the development of worldviews and communication skills of students of SABAH groups.

The purpose of the contest, dedicated to the International Day of Peace, 21 September, is to draw children and young people`s attention to the International Day of Peace, to instill a spirit of nonviolence, peacefulness, patriotism and respect for the traditions in them, to increase their artistic and aesthetic levels, to identify children with special talents and to support the development of their abilities. The competition, to be held among pupils of secondary and boarding schools, and circle members of out-of-school educational institutions, will be organized in three age groups. The competition will primarily be held within the schools and among the district (city) schools. The first place winners of this stage will win the right to participate in the Republican stage. 9 winning works will be selected from each age group in the Republican stage. In the end, the catalogue of winners and the best works will be published. In November, the final exhibition of the works of the winners and the awards ceremony will be held.   Order of the Minister of Education of Azerbaijan Republic on holding the Republican art contest under the theme "Let`s unite for peace" dedicated to the International Day of Peace, 21 September, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of UNESCO.

The activity of the higher education institution was widely discussed at the meeting, held with the participation of Firudin Gurbanov, Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Yagub Piriyev, Deputy Head of Administration of the Education Ministry, and other officials. Giving a speech, F.Gurbanov, Deputy Minister of Education, provided detailed information about the processes taking place recently around the university. He noted that, as a result of the inspections conducted by the Ministry of Finance and the accreditation held by the Ministry of Education, several shortcomings were revealed in the university, some members of staff gave way to negative circumstances, the inspection materials were sent to the prosecution authorities. He also mentioned that such cases damaged the image of the university. In his speech, Firudin Gurbanov noted that in accordance with the decision of Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Education, several executives of the University were dismissed for their shortcomings and the rector was reprimanded. Introducing the newly appointed Pro-Rectors for Academic Affairs, also for Science and Technology to the staff, F.Gurbanov underlined the Minister`s instructions on providing the University with young and perspective employees, normalizing moral and psychological state in the collective, strengthening financial discipline, improving the quality of education. Also, in accordance with the order of the Minister, it was planned to submit a detailed report on the results of the academic year 2015/2016 by the University at the collegial meeting of the Ministry. In turn, the Ministry of Education would continue to take the necessary steps towards improving the quality of personnel training in this higher education institution. Akif Suleymanov, Rector, who had just returned home after treatment, also made a speech at the meeting and noted that the staff led by him would draw an inference from the objurgations addressed to them, would organize their activities in accordance with the requirements of the legislation and would work hard for the full implementation of the objectives that were put forward. The competitions, organized in different kinds of sports, were attended by about 2500 young athletes from 50 countries. Shafaq Hamidova, graduate of Sumgait city Children's and Youth Sports School no. 2, became the winner among girls in 40 kg weight category. In the final, she defeated the Russian athlete and won the gold medal. Ibrahim Bayramli, graduate of the Specialized Children-Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserves No. 13, won the 3rd place and the bronze medal among boys in 50 kg weight category.

The festival, held with the participation of more than 3800 athletes from 50 countries competing in 9 sports, officials of the National Olympic Committees and experts, was attended by 5 volunteers who joined the "SABAH Volunteer" program. During the festival, the volunteers functioned in the Athletes Village and had the opportunity to converse with the journalists, guests, members of the European Olympic Committee and athletes. The young people, working in a multicultural environment, functioned in the groups of friends and witnessed the performances of athletes, as well as provided support to the athletes representing our country. In addition, the volunteers took part in the opening and closing ceremonies of the European Youth Olympic Festival. At the end of the festival, the award ceremony for volunteers was held.

18573 people have participated in the competitive examination for the recruitment of teachers. 2212 people have achieved good results, have won the right to take up a vacant post and have been invited for an interview. According to the results of the interview, it has been decided to hire 1892 people. The most preferred vacancies among candidates are as follows: 345 seats in Baku, 83 seats in Jalilabad region, 71 seats in Lerik region. Many jobs have been taken up on the following subjects: 335 seats for primary school, 206 seats for geography, 156 seats for chemistry. The teachers, whose recruitment has been assented, will begin their teaching activities by submitting documents to the relevant schools starting from September 1. The additional placement process will be conducted from August 5 to 10 for the vacant positions that have not been taken up in accordance with the rules and have been refused. The candidates, reaching a passing score in the examinations but failing to take up a vacant post, as well as refusing to accept a new position, can participate in the additional placement process.
