President Ilham Aliyev attended opening of Garabagh University's renovated student dormitory in Khankendi
On September 20, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev participated in the inauguration of the newly renovated student dormitory of Garabagh University in the city of Khankendi.
Emin Amrullayev, Minister of Science and Education, and Shahin Bayramov, Rector of Garabagh University, briefed the head of state on the completed renovations.
Appropriate buildings have been allocated for the accommodation of students and staff on the university campus.
President Ilham Aliyev viewed the conditions established in the student dormitory, which comprises five apartment-type buildings fully renovated to modern standards. Each apartment is equipped with necessary amenities, ensuring comfortable living conditions in line with contemporary campus concepts. The facility includes relaxation areas, a canteen, and a sports area, accommodating 1,154 students free of charge.
Additionally, four buildings designated for university staff and their families contain 186 apartments, all thoroughly renovated and equipped. Accommodations have been provided for up to 140 staff members and their family members, who will reside in these apartments free of charge during their employment at the university.
