The training program on recognition of non-formal and informal learning skills
A two-day online training program on recognition of non-formal and informal learning skills was organized with the participation of an international expert.
The program is implemented by the European Union, the United Nations Development Program, the Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and the State Agency for Vocational Education.
The program brings together vocational education specialists, private sector representatives and professionals in the field. The program includes steps to organize the process of theoretical as well as practical assessment for citizens who want to formalize their training, knowledge and skills. After these assessments, citizens will receive certificates that will help increase their chances of finding a job or taking their careers to a new level.
It is expected that the promotion on recognition of non-formal and informal leaning skills will open up new opportunities for a skilled workforce in the Azerbaijani labor market.
The first exam will be held this month in Ganja for candidates who want to formalize their knowledge of dry construction with the support of the Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and the “Knauf” international company for the production of building materials. During the exam, candidates who showed high results will be awarded a certificate after the evaluation by a special commission chaired by a representative of the Agency for Quality Assurance in Education.
This pre-exam training program was organized within the framework of the EU-funded project on "Support to the establishment of a Regional Industrial Vocational Education and Training Competence Center in Ganja" implemented jointly by UNDP and the State Agency for Vocational Education aimed at further strengthening and modernizing Azerbaijan's vocational education and training system.
