Agricultural module textbooks launched
Seven module textbooks for “Fruit specialist” and “Vegetable specialist” occupations were launched on September 11.
The textbooks were prepared under “Development of New Occupations in Agricultural Vocational Education” project of the British Council, co-funded by BP and its partners.
Participants in the event included Minister of Education Jeyhun Bayramov, Ambassador of the United Kingdom Carole Crofts, BP Regional President Gary Jones, British Council Azerbaijan Director Summer Xia, employees of the State Agency for Vocational Education and project representatives.
Addressing the event, Minister of Education Jeyhun Bayramov said vocational education has been set as one of the key priorities in Azerbaijan. He highlighted the importance of the area-related reforms and projects. The minister said that the successful implementation of the Strategic Roadmap for the Development of Vocational Education and Training, adoption of the Law “On Vocational Education” opened new opportunities for developing vocational education. Jeyhun Bayramov highlighted positive results of cooperation with BP and British Council in the field of vocational education, expressing his confidence that these relations will be maintained.
Other speakers highlighted projects implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Education, and said the module textbooks have a role to play in improving the content and quality of vocational education.
A total of 19 textbooks were prepared under “Development of New Occupations in Agricultural Vocational Education” project, which was launched in 2016.
