First graduation festival of “easySTART” startup school held at ASOIU
On June 30, First graduation festival of “easySTART” startup school was held at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU).
Participants in the event included head of the Humanitarian Affairs Department at the Presidential Administration Fatma Abdullazade, Minister of Education Mikayil Jabbarov, heads of higher education institutions, as well as Israeli and Ukrainian specialists.
ASOIU Rector Mustafa Babanli highlighted the importance of Startup project, which, he said, “is based on innovative ideas”.
Head of the Humanitarian Affairs Department at the Presidential Administration Fatma Abdullazade said the startup project would pave the way for the university`s new accomplishments.
Minister of Education Mikayil Jabbarov highlighted the objectives of the project and its contribution to the education system.
“easySTART” startup school features around 20 projects, of which the most promising and profitable ones would be implemented through local and foreign funding.
The project is designed to contribute to startup movement in Azerbaijan, and help youth transform their innovative ideas into business.
The project also aims to promote Azerbaijani projects and products both in the country and beyond.
Fifteen startup projects were presented at the festival. Project authors highlighted the importance of their ideas. Participants of the ceremony then viewed Incubation Center and AzII-IT Club at the university.
