U-13 and U-16 girls football teams of Specialized Children-Youth Olympics Reserve Football School of "Education" National Sports Center qualified for the final of Girls National Championship, organized by the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan.

U-13 girls league was held with the participation of 33 teams in 3 subgroups by dividing into Eastern, Western and Northern zones, and U-16 UNICEF girls league was held with the participation of 16 teams in 2 subgroups by dividing into Eastern and Western zones. U-13 and U-16 teams of Specialized Children-Youth Olympics Reserve Football School took place in the Eastern zone group, won all their group matches and qualified to the final. The final match of the U-13 girls league will be held on April 4 and the final match of the U-16 UNICEF girls league will be held on April 5 at "Bayil Arena" stadium.

Statistics on the calls received by Commutator Service, Call Center (“Hot line” service, phone:146) of The Ministry of Education and also the services rendered to the citizens on March, 2015 in Reception Center has been announced.

Most of the appeals (most of the appeals were connected with inquiry) received by Call Center and Reception Center have been responded immediately and settled operatively. According to their inquiries, 337 citizens have been registered for reception of relevant authorities of The Ministry of Education in electronic form. 897 documents (504 letters, 256 petitions, 137 other documents) have been received and registered in Reception Center. It should be noted that, Call Center received the appeals mostly on Tuesday (1375 calls) and Monday (1183 calls) from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 15:30 over last month. Reception Center received the appeals mostly on Tuesday (827 appeals) and Monday (612 appeals) from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 16:00.

Baku Music Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli has made innovation in the direction of promotion of Azerbaijani music on the eve of the Baku-2015 First European Games.

This innovation will not only introduce our classical music heritage and masterpieces of the art of mugham, taking its rightful place in the treasury of world music, to guests of our city but also it will attract their attention to the magnificent building of Baku Music Academy. Yegana Akhundova, the vice-rector of Baku Music Academy, said that samples of classical and national music performed with the help of the special equipments installed on the building of the educational institution, will improve the mood of numerous visitors, who will come to our city in connection with the first European Games over the next few months, and residents, as well as will create a good impression and satisfaction in their minds.

The signing ceremony of the Memorandum of agreement between the Azerbaijan State Economic University (ASEU) and the Oxbridge Educational Services (OES) was held on April 3.

Jeyhun Bayramov, the Deputy Minister of Education, Adalat Muradov, ASEU Chancellor and representatives of international organizations attended the event. The Azerbaijan State Economic University (ASEU) started cooperation with the London School of Economics (LSE), which is considered the world's foremost university. This cooperation will be carried out with the support of the Oxbridge Educational Services (OES) organization (at Pearson), which is one of the world's most prestigious organizations in the field of education and training. The bachelor's degree program of the London School of Economics (LSE) will be organized, as well as University Foundation Program and LCCI trainings, one of the Pearson International Qualification programs, will be carried out in ASEU within the framework of corporation. During his speech at the ceremony, Adalat Muradov, ASEU Chancellor said that project assumed vital importance in preparing students as the competitive manpower in the labor market in the world. Jeyhun Bayramov, the Deputy Minister of Education, highly appreciated the steps and measures taken by the Azerbaijani universities towards integration into the advanced education and adaptation of standards. He also told that projects carried out in this direction were supported by the Ministry of Education. In his report, Keith Sharp, Director of the Oxbridge Educational Services (OES), spoke about the teaching process and future perspectives in the London School of Economics (LSE). He also announced the details of the agreement. According to the memorandum, the Azerbaijani students joined three-year programs will be able to obtain a bachelor's degree in Humanities and Social Sciences in London School of Economics (LSE) while studying at ASEU. It is planned to offer bachelor's degrees in BSc Accounting and Finance, BSc Business and Management, BSc Economics, BSc Economics and Finance, BSc Economics and Management within the framework of the program. In accordance with the existing curriculum of LSE, 12 main subjects will be taught for 3 years at ASEU, including 4 subjects every year. In the end, memorandum document was signed by Adalat Muradov, ASEU Chancellor and Keith Sharp, Director of the Oxbridge Educational Services (OES).

"SABAH volunteer" supports the Baku-2015 First European Games, promotes its importance and benefit to the development of students.

The Baku-2015 First European Games that will be held with the participation of more than 6000 athletes from 49 European countries, create significant opportunities for Azerbaijan. It is planned to hold 253 races in 20 sports in the first European Games demonstrating Azerbaijan power and experience in hosting international events. Holding the first European Games in Azerbaijan enables media coverage of competitions by the World's Leading Media Companies, as well as, recognition of our country in the international arena. The creation of new infrastructure and the construction of the sports arenas ensure Azerbaijan`s hosting of other international competitions in the future, the increasing of interest towards a sport activity among young people and the formation of a healthy lifestyle. The organization of a large part of activities by young professionals and the participation of students from the most active layers of the society in this process are one of the remarkable features of holding the competitions in our country. The vast majority of students studying in higher education institutions in the country, consisting of 12 000 volunteers are expected to participate in the organization of the first European Games in Baku in 2015. By taking part in the organization of the first European Games voluntarily, students contribute to the excellent organization of this great event, learn to fulfill their civic duties and acquire professional skills. The preparatory process which is held within the framework of the Baku-2015 First European Games covers not only other areas of the country life, but also the higher education institutions. A number of measures are taken by students in higher education institutions on the eve of the Games. By participating in these events, students evaluate leisure time efficiently, improve their knowledge and skills, expand their friendship networks. "SABAH volunteer" program, carried out with the participation of students of SABAH groups of the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan Republic plays a significant role in increasing the social activity and applying knowledge to practice, as well as developing management skills and leadership potential of students without leaving the academic training and by involving students in voluntary activity. "SABAH volunteer" operates in 7 higher education institutions, where SABAH groups have been established. Within the framework of the program, volunteers (in the form of teams) give creative ideas, put forward several initiatives and carry out planning and implementation of these initiatives. "SABAH volunteer" supports the Baku-2015 First European Games, promotes its importance and benefit to the development of students. It is planned to implement a number of relevant measures with the participation of students in order to support the European Games and to involve the students of "SABAH" in this process. It should be noted that all students studying in SABAH groups can participate in "SABAH volunteer" program, put forward their own initiatives, take part in implementation of these initiatives, as the organizer and participant. It should also be noted that SABAH groups have been organized from Educated, Skilled and Trained students studying at higher education institutions under the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan Republic in order to improve the quality of education in higher education, to ensure personnel training in accordance with modern requirements and to create the new environment in the higher education system. Currently, SABAH groups cover 755 students in 34 specialties in 7 higher education institutions (Baku State University, Azerbaijan Architecture and Construction University, Azerbaijan Technical University, Azerbaijan State Economic University, Azerbaijan State Oil Academy, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University and Azerbaijan University of Languages).

On April 7, the opening ceremony of XIX Republican Scientific Conference of PhD students and young researchers was held at Azerbaijan State Economic University.

Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Education, Akif Alizadeh, President of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan Republic, heads of higher education institutions,  well-known scientists of the republic, PhD students and young researchers attended the opening ceremony of the conference, organized with the support of the Ministry of Education. The conference, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan Republic, will last two days. 414 theses were submitted from 20 higher education institutions and the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan Republic during the conference. Well-known scientists will manage 15 sections, established in order to listen to the lectures of PhD students and young researchers and discuss them. Adalat Muradov, Rector of Azerbaijan State Economic University, opened the Conference with welcome speech and greeted the participants of the event. The Rector underlined the importance of expansion of ties between higher education institutions and scientific research institutions. In his speech, Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Education, talked about the attention and care, provided by national leader Heydar Aliyev for the development of education and science, as well as for talented children and young people in Azerbaijan. "This policy is today being successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev,” he added. The minister also noted that the role of science and education was increasing rapidly in an era of unrivaled global competition. Mikayil Jabbarov stressed the importance of the use of all resources for the development of young researchers. The Minister underlined that much useful work had been done in this direction and mentioned that 50 percent of the country's scientists worked at 27 higher education institutions and scientific research institutions belonging to the Ministry of Education: "Science can`t exist without education, education can`t exist without science. It's time to transition from philosophy of traditional maximum scientific knowledge to optimal knowledge. We should be looking for methods of teaching the practical scientific knowledge". Referring to the small number of young teachers, currently working in the education system, the Minister said that one of the tasks ahead is to increase the number of teachers and to improve the quality. He also mentioned that the special program would be prepared in order to increase the number and the role of young scientists and researchers in higher education institutions. This program should determine medium-term and long-term goals for the state educational institutions. According to the Minister, involvement of young specialists in science and appointment of them to certain positions at universities should be implemented more systematically. According to his speech, engaging young scientists, who have completed their researches abroad, in the teaching process in higher education institutions is important and necessary. At the end of his speech, the Minister expressed his gratitude to more than 10 thousand students-volunteers, contributed to the excellent organization of the First European Games in our country and said that these students-volunteers bore a great responsibility for the successful presentation of this remarkable event. Akif Alizadeh, President of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan Republic, emphasized the importance of reforms in the field of science. He also noted that cooperation between educational institutions and scientific research centers would be expanded. Saying Azerbaijan has a strong scientific potential, Akif Alizadeh noted that this potential will be strengthened by young people in the coming years: "Very strong and young scientific elite should be established in Azerbaijan. The scientific elite will manage the science in Azerbaijan in the next decades". Then they listened to speeches from PhD students, who will participate in the work of conference. On April 7, Mikayil Jabbarov, education minister of Azerbaijan Republic received Umran Inan, rector of Turkey Koç University who visited in Baku by invitation of ADA University.

The cooperation prospects between Koç University and higher education institutions of Azerbaijan, the possibilities of implementing joint educational programs and research projects, as well as teacher and student exchange were discussed during meeting. Umran Inan, rector of Koç University, said that the higher school operating under his leadership attaches great importance to the scientific research projects and the development of education in doctoral degrees. The guest also underlined that Koç University gives special importance to higher education institutions in Azerbaijan within the framework of the cooperation with higher education institutions in foreign countries. The rector noted that Azerbaijani students wishing to study for a doctorate at Koç University would be exempted from tuition fees. Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Education, highly appreciated exemption of Azerbaijani PhD students from tuition fee by Koç University and mentioned that this step is consistent with the objectives of the development of science in higher education institutions in the country.

On April 6, the opening ceremony of the First National Festival "National fret system of Uzeyir Hajibeyli in teaching repertoire of the young musicians" was held at Baku Music Academy (BMA).

Festival was dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the birth of the great composer, the 95th anniversary of BMA and the 35th anniversary of middle speciality music school-studio of the Academy. At first, the national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed by students of the school-studio under BMA. In his speech, Farhad Badalbeyli, the rector of BMA, the national actor of the USSR, professor, reminded that the birthday (September 18) of Uzeyir Hajibeyli, outstanding Azerbaijani composer, the founder of the Azerbaijan professional music, was declared the Day of Azerbaijani Music by the decree of the national leader Heydar Aliyev. F.Badalbeyli especially emphasized the merits of Mehriban Aliyeva, Azerbaijani First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, for the preservation and development of our national music and mugham, forming the basis of national music. He also underlined the great importance of learning the fret system. In her speech at the opening ceremony, Bahar Muradova, Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly, said that today we are in Azerbaijan's most beautiful temple of music. There are spirits of our geniuses, wise men, who introduced our national music to the world, and the spirit of Uzeyir Hajibeyli in this temple. Noting the festival is dedicated to significant events, Firudin Gurbanov, Deputy Education Minister, congratulated the participants and wished them success. The Deputy Minister said that the festival is a great contribution to our music, our cultural heritage. Azerbaijani people should feel happy because they have such a deep and meaningful cultural heritage. Our music is an example of this heritage. Speaking about the work being done to preserve the cultural heritage in the country, the Deputy Minister noted that the significant projects aimed at developing and promoting the national music are currently implemented on the initiative and with the support of President Ilham Aliyev, as well as by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. It is no coincidence that, at the initiative of Mehriban Aliyeva, first lady of Azerbaijan, the musical masterpieces of the country had been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Firudin Gurbanov also mentioned that this festival helps to identify talented young people and assists them to become known to a wide audience. Therefore, the Ministry of Education always supports such measures and we will continue this work. I believe that this festival will be a great support to the further development of the new talented musicians. Professor Zemfira Gafarova, secretary of the Union of Composers, and Ramiz Guliyev, People's Artist of Azerbaijan, spoke about the role of the scientific research activities and the music theory in the development of the art of music. "The development program of understanding of national fret on the basis of Uzeyir Hajibeyli`s scientific system" was published on the occasion of the Festival. The authors of this publication are Farhad Badalbeyli and Tarlan Seyidov. Then the groups performed in the category "Chorus". Festival's panel of judges includes: People's artists Arif Melikov, Fidan and Khuraman Gasimovas, Ramiz Guliyev and other well-known musicians and performers. They will evaluate the performances of the festival participants in such categories as composition, choral, piano, vocal, folk instrumental music performance. More than 200 young musicians and performers arrived from Ganja, Agdash, Agsu, Agdam, Barda, Neftchala and other regions in order to participate in the festival. The purpose of this festival is to achieve a better understanding of the traditional major-minor system and the national fret system of Azerbaijan.  The festival will end on April 10, the winners will be awarded.

The teams of Specialized Children-Youth Olympics Reserve Football School of "Education" National Sports Center successfully performed in Azerbaijan football championship on U-13 and U-16 UNICEF girls league.

U-13 girls league was held with the participation of 33 teams in 3 subgroups by dividing into Eastern, Western and Northern zones. The team of IOEUG Football Schoolwas included in the group held with the participation of 6 teams in eastern zone.  School team won all games in the group and reached the final. In the final, held in tense struggle, the team lost a penalty shootout and took the 2nd place. U-16 UNICEF girls league was held with the participation of 16 teams in 2 subgroups by dividing into Eastern and Western zones. IOEUG Football School team, competing in this league, reached the final having scored a victory in all the matches without conceding a goal. The team, playing with a lot of confidence in the final, won the championship. The teams, occupying the first, second and third places in a championship, were awarded diplomas.
