Conference-consultation on the topic “Application of subject curriculum: new approaches and perspectives” has been held by initiative of The Ministry of Education on June 20 in Shaki city.
In order to take part in the event where the heads of education departments of Shaki, Gakh, Zagatala, Balakan, Gabala and Oguz regions, the teachers, the leaders of methodical cabinet, the students of Shaki and Zagatala branches of Azerbaijan Teachers Institute, education experts and the trainers participated, Aydin Ahmadov, head of preschool and secondary education department of The Ministry of Education, Casarat Valehov, head of sector on work with NGO and Media, also up to 50 Media’ representatives visited region.
Aydin Ahmadov, department head of ministry, informed on the reforms implemented on the sphere of secondary education in detail, stressed new subject curriculums as direction in education.
Expert Asif Cahangirov, made a speech by report on the subject of new approaches in education.
Informing about test assessment held for the teachers functioning in Baku schools, Casarat Valehov, department head of ministry stated that this process will surround the regions in the near future. Casarat Valehov, pointed importance of performance of such events and told that goal is to create dialogue environment.
Presentations of the trainers have been listened, also discussions on curriculum reforms have been performed. Teachers explained their opinions on the novelties taking place in education generally the problems derived from process of curriculum application.
Nurlana Azimova, teacher of school No. 4 in Gakh proposed extension of period of the courses held for the teachers related to the curriculums. Trainer Rabail Afandiyeva stated that she support continuation of the courses. Madina Heydarova, teacher of school No. 1 in Gakh, considered increase of the efforts in order to develop Information Communication Technologies knowledges of the teachers also strengthen of material- technical base in educational establishments as important steps. Tarana Zakariyyayeva, deputy head of school No. 2 in Oguz, Arifa Byaramova, methodical cabinet’ head of Gabala Education Department, Irada Alizada, teacher of Zagatala Humanitarian College, Asmaya Akberova, methodigal cabinet’ head of Shaki branch of Azerbaijan Teachers Institute and others stressed their positive assessment of the novelties taking place on education sphere.
According to them, enlightenment works of the teachers should be continued in order to achieve expected results. Sudaba Ismayilova, head of Shaki Education Department, stressing great importance of such events stated her wish to hold enlightenment meetings with the teachers often.
After discussions, media representatives were acquainted with school No. 5 of Shaki functioning since 1831 which is the oldest school of the region within framework of promotion of the secondary schools that have more than 100 years. They met Shirmammad Huseynov, professor of Baku State University who was a pupil of the same school.
