• Azərbaycan Xalq Cümhuriyyəti hökumətinin 1918-ci il 28 may tarixli qərarı ilə maarif və təhsil üzrə ilk nazirlik-Xalq Maarifi Nazirliyi yaradılıb. Nazirlər Şurasının 30 iyun 1918-ci il tarixli qərarı ilə Xalq Maarifi Nazirliyinin üç şöbədən (ümumi orta təhsil, ali və orta ixtisas təhsili, peşə məktəbləri) ibarət strukturu təsdiq olunub.

    Azərbaycan SSR Xalq Komissarları Sovetinin 28 aprel 1920-ci il tarixli qərarı ilə Xalq Maarifi Nazirliyinin adı dəyişdirilərək Xalq Maarifi Komissarlığı adı ilə yenidən təşkil edilib və ölkədəki bütün təhsil müəssisələri bu qurumun tabeliyinə verilib.

Education is the future of the nation!

On May 3 Education Minister Misir Mardanov met with the delegation led by Rector of Hacettepe University Ugur Erdener.

The meeting was attended by Pro-rector of Hacettepe University Sevil Gurgan, dean of Economics Faculty Ahmed Burcen, Educational Attaché of the Embassy of Azerbaijan to Turkey Nasiba Nasibova, Rector of Azerbaijan Medical University Ahliman Amiraslanov and Rector of Azerbaijan State Economic University Shamsaddin Hajiyev. 
Education Minister Misir Mardanov has expressed his satisfaction at seeing the guests at the Ministry of Education, and talked about mutual friendship and the strong tie of brotherhood existing between Azerbaijan and Turkey. Noting the existence of multilateral and growing relationships in the education field of both countries, the Minister emphasized the importance of strengthening and expanding of this partnership. Moreover, he underlined the great interest of Azerbaijani youth in the study at Hacettepe University, at one of the famous universities of Turkey, and stressed that the most popular specialties among youth are economy, medicine and engineering. 
Rector of Hacettepe University Ugur Erdener has thanked the Minister for the warm reception and noted the importance of enhancing bilateral relations in the education field and carrying out relevant works in this area. He gave information on university headed by him. According to him, currently, 800 international students from 70 countries are studying at Hacettepe University.  Mr. Erdener noted that they are unable to increase the number of international students due to the university admissions’ plan, but they are interested in increasing the number of Azeri students at their university.
Mr. Mardanov talked about the benefits of taking part in the education exhibitions to become a well known in Azerbaijan, and underlined the importance of organizing the visit of other representatives of the University.
