Azərbaycan Xalq Cümhuriyyəti hökumətinin 1918-ci il 28 may tarixli qərarı ilə maarif və təhsil üzrə ilk nazirlik-Xalq Maarifi Nazirliyi yaradılıb. Nazirlər Şurasının 30 iyun 1918-ci il tarixli qərarı ilə Xalq Maarifi Nazirliyinin üç şöbədən (ümumi orta təhsil, ali və orta ixtisas təhsili, peşə məktəbləri) ibarət strukturu təsdiq olunub.

Azərbaycan SSR Xalq Komissarları Sovetinin 28 aprel 1920-ci il tarixli qərarı ilə Xalq Maarifi Nazirliyinin adı dəyişdirilərək Xalq Maarifi Komissarlığı adı ilə yenidən təşkil edilib və ölkədəki bütün təhsil müəssisələri bu qurumun tabeliyinə verilib.

Education is the future of the nation!

On April 24 at school named after academician Zarifa Aliyeva took place a final stage of the essay contest organized among pupils of secondary schools and devoted to the 88th birth anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

The ceremony was attended by Education Minister Misir Mardanov, deputy chairman of New Azerbaijan Party, executive secretary of the party Ali Ahmadov, Chairman of Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation Sattar Mehbaliyev, deputy ministers and representatives of the Ministry.

Having welcomed the attendees Education Minister Misir Mardanov noted the essay contest devoted to the birth anniversary of the national leader is one of the mass actions implemented in Azerbaijan. Noting the first essay contest was held in 2007 the minister underlined that it has been met with deep sympathy by the community.

According to the minister, pupils of VII-XI classes of secondary schools and vocational lyceums have been taken part in the contest each year. The contest is held in three stages (school, city and final – republican) and conducted by the support of Education Ministry, New Azerbaijan Party, Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation, Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies. He added that this year, about 700 thousands of pupils took part in the contest,

Noting 97 schools received a right to take part in the final stage of the contest Misir Mardanov highly appreciated the great interest of pupils in the contest and estimated it as a great respect and esteem for the memory of the national leader. He underlined the contest is being held in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic under the same conditions. According to him the winners will be awarded the prize and presents, as well as the best works will be published.

At the end of his speech the minister has thanked everyone who has made a contribution to this work, and wished success to participants.

Further, the topic of the final stage of the contest was announced and pupils began to write an essay entitled “Genius person as an example for humans and humanity.”
