The Ministry of Science and Education participated in the Central Asian International Education Forum

On 28 October, Matin Karimli, the Head of the Administration of the Ministry of Science and Education, participated in the Central Asian International Education Forum held in Tashkent city of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Erkinjon Turdimov, the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Uzbekistan, made speech in the opening ceremony of the forum and emphasized the importance of expansion of regional cooperation in the field of higher education, strengthening of interuniversity relations and development of international partnership.
Representatives of Azerbaijan, Poland, Türkiye, Pakistan, the Republic of Czech and Georgia and the Central Asian countries participated around the round table of ministers of education held on the subject of “Development of a single educational space in the Central Asia and international cooperation” within the framework of the forum.
Matin Karimli, the Head of the Administration, who made speech around the round table, touched upon issues of expansion of regional cooperation in the field of education, strengthening of relations between higher education institutions and implementation of joint initiatives. He emphasized the importance of promotion of the academic mobility, development of joint educational programs and scientific research projects, as well as expansion of the exchange of experience among universities.
The issues such as student and teacher exchange, mutual recognition of diplomas and qualifications, promotion of joint scientific research projects and grant programs, improvement of the quality of education and strengthening of the international competitiveness of higher educational institutions were also discussed within the framework of the round table.
Holding of plenary meetings, panel sessions, thematic discussions, bilateral meetings between universities and partner organizations, as well as the execution of cooperation agreements is considered in the forum.
