Azerbaijan is represented at the 10th plenary session of the Council of Europe’s Steering Committee for Education

The 10th plenary session of the Steering Committee for Education (CDEDU) of the Council of Europe was held in Strasbourg, France. Azerbaijan was represented at the meeting by Simuzar Feyzullayeva, Head of the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Science and Education.

CDEDU is the Council of Europe’s primary intergovernmental committee in the field of education, serving as a key platform for cooperation and the exchange of experience in educational policy among member states. At its 10th plenary session, attended by representatives from the ministries of science and education of 46 member states, the focus was on the implementation of the Council of Europe Education Strategy 2024–2030, as well as ongoing activities in the field of education and priority areas of work for the upcoming period.

During the meeting, a representative of the Ministry of Science and Education outlined the measures being taken in Azerbaijan to enhance the role of teachers and other education professionals in the era of digitalization, integrate artificial intelligence and digital technologies into the educational process, ensure gender equality in education, and stimulate scientific-research activities, including the promotion of the practical application of scientific results.
