The Ministry delegation is participating in the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference
On 30 October, the opening ceremony of the 43rd session of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) General Conference took place in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
The event was attended by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay, and high-ranking officials from UNESCO member states.
The Republic of Azerbaijan is represented at the conference by a delegation headed by Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. The delegation includes Deputy Minister of Science and Education Hasan Hasanli.
At the conference, Member States are discussing action plans for UNESCO's priority areas for the next period: inclusive education, cultural heritage preservation, combating climate change, and sustainable development goals.
It should be noted that the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference will continue until 14 November.
