Azerbaijan's experience in science and education was presented at the “Global Congress of Sustainable Development”
The official opening ceremony of the “Global Congress of Sustainable Development” took place on 17 June in Istanbul, Türkiye.
Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev, who attended the opening ceremony, took part in a discussion on the Azerbaijani experience.
During the discussion moderated by Phil Baty, Director General for Global Affairs at “Times Higher Education”, Emin Amrullayev answered questions about the opportunities opened up for the development of science and education in Azerbaijan after Azerbaijan's hosting of such a prestigious international event as COP29. Emin Amrullayev also touched upon issues such as the work being done on sustainable development in our tertiary institutions, supporting climate research, developing green skills, building global partnerships in this area and increasing international visibility.
It should be noted that more than 5000 delegates from more than 100 countries around the world are represented at this congress.
