‘Study in Azerbaijan’ educational exhibition held in Uzbekistan
An educational exhibition called “Study in Azerbaijan” was organized in Tashkent from 27 to 31 May to expand cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan in the field of science and higher education. The exhibition was held during the visit of the Deputy Minister of Science and Education, Idris Isayev, and the rectors of higher education institutions to Uzbekistan.
This exhibition is an important step towards fulfilling the tasks set out in the protocol of the 13th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Intergovernmental Commission.
Seventeen higher education institutions represented our country at the exhibition. At the stands of Azerbaijani universities, participants were provided with detailed information on educational opportunities in various subjects, scholarship programs and student life in Azerbaijan.
The opening ceremony was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of Uzbekistan, Shahrukh Daliyev; the Deputy Minister of Science and Education of Azerbaijan, Idris Isayev; and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan, Huseyn Guliyev. The speakers emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two countries in the context of the internationalization of science and higher education, and expressed confidence that the exhibition would contribute to the development of educational and cultural ties.
It should be noted that the exhibition's primary objective is to foster intercultural ties, promote student exchange, and boost the enrolment of foreign students in Azerbaijan.
