The Deputy Minister of Science and Education visits the Syrian Arab Republic as a member of the Azerbaijani delegation
On 4 May, an Azerbaijani delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Samir Sharifov visited the Syrian Arab Republic. Deputy Minister Kenan Kerimzadeh represented the Ministry of Science and Education in the delegation.
In accordance with the assignment of the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the visit was aimed at supporting the reconstruction and development of Syria and exploring opportunities for cooperation with the current transitional government of the country in various fields, including economy, energy, culture, and education.
Within the framework of the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation was received by Ahmad al-Sharaa, the President of the Syrian Arab Republic for the transitional period.
During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on the directions of possible support of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the recovery and reconstruction process initiated by Syria.
As part of the visit, Deputy Minister of Science and Education Kenan Kerimzadeh met with Minister of Higher Education of the Syrian Arab Republic Marwan al-Halabi. During the meeting, the prospects for further cooperation between the educational institutions of the two countries were discussed.
