Azerbaijani students win 1 silver and 2 bronze medals at the 41st Balkan Mathematics Olympiad
Our team successfully performed at the 41st Balkan Mathematical Olympiad, held in Varna, Bulgaria, from 27 April to 2 May. Our students won a total of 3 medals, including 1 silver, 2 bronze and 2 incentive awards.
Mirhabib Askerov, an 11th grade student of Baku Heydar Aliyev Modern Education Complex, won a silver medal at the Olympiad, Omer Gadimli and Ibrahim Kerimli, an 11th-grade students of Physics, Mathematics and Informatics biased lyceum, won bronze medals.
Besides, the motivational prize of the Olympiad was awarded to Telman Mammadov, an 11th-grade student of the Baku Turkish Lyceum of Dayanat Foundation and Rafiga Gambarova, a 9th-grade student of the Republican Lyceum with chemical and biology bias.
It should be noted that since 2007, Azerbaijani students participating in the Balkan Mathematics Olympiad have won a total of 1 gold, 18 silver and 38 bronze medals.
