Deputy Minister of Science and Education visits Georgia
The delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Science and Education Hasan Hasanli visited Georgia.
Within the framework of the visit, members of the delegation visited the monument to the national leader in Heydar Aliyev Park in Tbilisi and laid a wreath in front of it.
Then a meeting was held with the Georgian Minister of Education and Science, Giorgi Amilakhvari. In the course of the meeting, they discussed the activity of schools teaching in Azerbaijani and Georgian languages in both countries, the organization of teachers' professional development. The exchange of textbooks for these educational institutions was highly appreciated. The sides also touched upon the necessity of the exchange of students and teachers, and the issues of inter-university cooperation.
Within the framework of the visit, the Deputy Minister met with the Rector of Tbilisi State University named after Ivane Javakhishvili, Jaba Samushia. Discussions were held on opening a specialty of "Azerbaijani language and literature" at the said university, and the Heydar Aliyev assembly hall, which opened in May this year, was visited.
Deputy Minister Hasan Hasanli also met with the Rector of Georgian Technical University, David Gurgenidze. The Deputy Minister toured the place where the Center for Azerbaijani Studies would be opened at the mentioned university.
