"The Famous Teachers of Karabakh" - Zakir Baghirov
Another public figure of the "Famous Teachers of Karabakh" project of the Ministry of Education is Zakir Baghirov. He was born in 1929 in Shusha. He graduated from the Azerbaijan State University in 1953 and began teaching at the Department of Philosophy.
Zakir Baghirov, who has a special place in our cultural history, has served as Azerbaijan's Minister of Culture for many years. Today, everyone remember Zakir Baghirov – the Minister of Culture - as a person with a humane character and creative thinking, a person who had always a warm smile on his face. Zakir Baghirov did a lot for the development of our culture during his tenure as minister. At his initiative, a modern Baku School of Choreography was built in Baku. A number of cultural centers have been repaired, new orchestras have been established, and a Song Theater has been established.
It should be noted that the "Famous Teachers of Karabakh" project provides information about famous people born in Karabakh and engaged in pedagogical activities. The aim of the project is to commemorate famous teachers originally from Karabakh.
