Deputy Minister of Education meets with members of the International Association of the Eurasian Education Workers' Trade Unions
On 30 June, Deputy Minister of Education Firudin Gurbanov met with members of the International Association of the Eurasian Education Workers' Trade Unions, who were on a visit to our country.
In his speech, the Deputy Minister of Education spoke about the work carried out for the development and strengthening of our country in the period of independence, the achievements in the building of national education, the development of certain fields of education, the measures taken in the implementation of the “State Strategy on Education Development in the Republic of Azerbaijan”, the challenges faced by the rapidly modernizing educational system, the reforms carried out in the education sector in our country and the successes achieved in this area. Firudin Gurbanov also stressed the role of educators in the liberation of our lands from occupation and highlighted Turkey's support for our country.
The Deputy Minister of Education said that protection of the rights of educators and students in the education system is of great importance in Azerbaijan. Noting consistent steps have been taken towards improvement of educators' working conditions and stimulation of their work, Firudin Gurbanov underlined the importance of studying the international experience in this field.
In his speech, the Deputy Minister of Education highly appreciated the holding of the XIV Forum of the International Association of the Eurasian Education Workers’ Trade Uions in Baku.
At the end of the event, the Deputy Minister of Education answered questions from guests of the Forum.
