Cooperation between the Ministry of Education and “Microsoft” company is expanding

 On March 3, the Ministry of Education and “Microsoft” company signed a document of intent on the continuation of cooperation on joint educational projects at the online event.
 
The purpose of the document signed by Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev and vice-president of “Microsoft” corporation Antoni Salkito is to expand cooperation in the area of education between the parties and ensure the implementation of joint innovative projects. 
 
Within the framework of the document of intention, it is envisaged to conduct joint activities in 4 directions.
 
Thus, joint activities in the area of "Digital Leadership and Policy Formation in education" include strategic cooperation in the field of the digital transformation of education, particularly the digital transformation of general education and higher education, improvement of information systems and e-services of the Ministry of Education, as well as the participation of Azerbaijan in the coalition of "World Leader countries in Digital Transformation" formed by “Microsoft” cooperation. 
 
The parties also agreed to cooperate in building a model school in which Microsoft education programs are implemented. Cooperation in the direction of” Teaching and Learning" includes results-based student-centered learning, an individual approach to teaching, 21st-century skills, a teacher model of the future, and joint activities for the formation of analytical thinking. The parties plan to implement special programs to increase the technological knowledge of students studying in pedagogical specialties before their employment. At the same time, cooperation will be established on the application of industrial content and certification in education at all levels of education.

The direction of "creating a digital environment" includes the application of cloud technologies and secure software at all levels of education. The activity that occupies a special place in this direction is the establishment of joint cooperation for the application of new generation education tools for “Microsoft” artificial intelligence to recognize the Azerbaijani language and improve decision-making in education. The cooperation in the area of "Student and school success" includes integration of STEAM content of “Microsoft” corporation, improving and certification of qualifications of educators on technology in any space, time and pace, presentation of innovative ideas, technical solutions in local and international environments, opportunities to study innovative expert models.
