Competition for the implementation of measures to improve the higher educational system

Within the framework of measures taken to improve the quality of education in the higher educational system, the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan Republic is carrying out the Twinning project in cooperation with the European Union to support the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan Republic in order to adapt the higher education system to the requirements of the European Higher Education Area.

Under the project, the competition is announced in order to form an expert group for the renewal of the higher educational system, the quality improvement, the determination of standards that meet modern and international requirements, at the same time, the implementation of reforms in this direction.

The only people, who are currently working at higher educational institutions, can appeal in order to participate in the competition.

We would like to inform you that the members of the expert group, that will be formed as a result of competition and will operate according to social principles, will not only participate in national events, discussions to be organized on the higher education system, but also will have the opportunity to be represented in international conferences, seminars and other events of this type.

Who can participate in the competition?

For higher educational institutions:

- Academic tutors

- Teachers

- Department Chairs

- Heads of other structural bodies

Candidates are expected to have the following characteristics:

- Effective Decision-Making Ability

- Outcome orientation

- Logical thinking ability

- The presence of foreign language skills (desirable)

Note: It is desirable that persons, who have studied abroad on the basis of the "State Program on education of Azerbaijani youth abroad in the years 2007-2015" or other programs, and who are currently working at higher education institutions, can appeal in order to participate in the competition.

Application Procedure:

Candidates who meet the above-mentioned requirements should fill out CV and application form (APPENDİX) and send them to email address anar.mirzezade@edu.gov.az.

Note: All correspondence and notifications will be carried out through email. For this reason, it is important to use your personal e-mail addresses and to check them regularly.

Application deadline: March 11, 2016.

Selection rules:

The competition will be determined on the basis of two-stage selection. At the first stage, the candidates will be selected on the basis of application form and CV that will be sent by them to e-mail address (anar.mirzezade@edu.gov.az). The candidates, who have achieved success at this stage, will be invited to the next stage - for an interview. The expert group on the higher education system, which will operate according to social principles, will be formed on the basis of persons who have achieved success according to the results of the competition.
