Second phase of interschools subject contests on mathematics and natural sciences held by the initiative of The Ministry of Education ended.
501 pupils from the secondary schools of Baku and Sumgait cities took part in the contests organized by purpose to increase pupils’ interest to the subjects of mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology, detect talented pupils, demonstrate pupils’ skills and abilities as well as create positive competition among the pupils. Each school were represenetd with team that consist of only 9 pupils on VI, VII, VIII and IX grades.
Sumgait city humanitarian and mathematics “Istedad lisey”, natural sciences gymnasium, technical- natural sciences lyceum named after N. Ganjavi, "Zəkalar" no . 287 and Bakı Avropa lyceums achieved the best result on team score in the II phase of subject contests on natural sciences.
According to the results of II phase of subject contests on mathematics, Sumgait natural sciences gymnasium, school-luceum no. 220, secondary school no. 62 in Baku, lyceum named after academician Zarifa Aliyev and classic gymnasium no. 160, achieved the best result on team score.
It should be noted that, pupils differed on individual and team score in the III phase of subject contests to be held on december 20, will be awarded to valuable prizes.
