Azərbaycan Xalq Cümhuriyyəti hökumətinin 1918-ci il 28 may tarixli qərarı ilə maarif və təhsil üzrə ilk nazirlik-Xalq Maarifi Nazirliyi yaradılıb. Nazirlər Şurasının 30 iyun 1918-ci il tarixli qərarı ilə Xalq Maarifi Nazirliyinin üç şöbədən (ümumi orta təhsil, ali və orta ixtisas təhsili, peşə məktəbləri) ibarət strukturu təsdiq olunub.

Azərbaycan SSR Xalq Komissarları Sovetinin 28 aprel 1920-ci il tarixli qərarı ilə Xalq Maarifi Nazirliyinin adı dəyişdirilərək Xalq Maarifi Komissarlığı adı ilə yenidən təşkil edilib və ölkədəki bütün təhsil müəssisələri bu qurumun tabeliyinə verilib.

Education is the future of the nation!

Third meeting of sub-committee under the issues like employment and social affairs, public health, training, education and youth, culture, information society and audio visual politics, science and technology within framework of European Union- Azerbaijan Cooperation Commeette, has been held on June 4 in Baku.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Communication and High Technology, National Academy of Sciences, in opposite side official of European External Action Service and European Union Delegation in Baku, took part in the event. Meeting was managed by the representative of The Ministry of Education by Azerbaijan side.

Mutual discussions on the subjects of education, employment and social affairs, health, youth policy, culture, research and innovation, information society, have been made in the meeting. Azerbaijan side informed about obtained outcomes and the reforms, also European Union Delegation made the presentations on envisaged changes and policy implemented under these spheres. Mutual opinion of exchange, has been performed in order to enlarge cooperation among two parties and implement further reforms.

It should be noted that, next meeting of sub-committee will be peformed in 2015 in Brussels under principle of rotation.
