Awarding ceremony of the winners of republic subject olimpiades has been held on May 17 in The Ministry of Education.
Ceyhun Bayramov, Deputy Minister, the members of jury, olimpiad’ winners, the representatives of regional education departments took part in the event.
Ceyhun Bayramov, Deputy Minister stated that, subject olympiades play significant role on detection of talanted children, motivation of them to get better education, determintation of the teachers selected wih his teaching skills. Deserved pupils are selected for participation in the olimpiades under different subjects and supervision on their readiness are strengthened. All these points support in olympic movement.
It was stated that, subject olympiads have been held on 3 phases in 2013-2014 academic year. 6 374 pupils from 36 908 participants from I round under region (city) phase passed to next phase, 849 of them took part in republicphase according to decision of jury. According to the outcomes of republic phase, 189 persons from general number awarded I-IV, as well as 230 persons to I, 27 persosn to II, 61 persosn to III, 81 persons to IV place.
Winner pupils talked about importance of the olimpiades in education. Such contests stimulize the pupils to deeply possess the subjects, create strong competition among the pupils. At the same time, the olympiades and generally, knowledge contests support in development of teachign quality.
Winners have been presented the diplomas of The Ministry of Education and valuable prizes.
