  • Azərbaycan Xalq Cümhuriyyəti hökumətinin 1918-ci il 28 may tarixli qərarı ilə maarif və təhsil üzrə ilk nazirlik-Xalq Maarifi Nazirliyi yaradılıb. Nazirlər Şurasının 30 iyun 1918-ci il tarixli qərarı ilə Xalq Maarifi Nazirliyinin üç şöbədən (ümumi orta təhsil, ali və orta ixtisas təhsili, peşə məktəbləri) ibarət strukturu təsdiq olunub.

    Azərbaycan SSR Xalq Komissarları Sovetinin 28 aprel 1920-ci il tarixli qərarı ilə Xalq Maarifi Nazirliyinin adı dəyişdirilərək Xalq Maarifi Komissarlığı adı ilə yenidən təşkil edilib və ölkədəki bütün təhsil müəssisələri bu qurumun tabeliyinə verilib.

Education is the future of the nation!

On March, 13th at school-lyceum № 6 there has passed presentation of the International Baccalaureate Program (MPB).

On action it has been noted, that in accordance with the Decree of the President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev, at support of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance, since 2011 at school-lyceum №6 it is applied International Baccalaureate Program (IBP). Within the limits of IBP training is divided into 3 stages (a PYP-elementary education, MYP-5-9 classes, the DP- diploma program, X-X classes).
Students of classes XI of the school-lyceum №6, being the first state educational institution where takes root IBP, receiving diplomas this year based on international assessment, would be eligible for admission to prestigious universities in the world. In an educational institution, within the limits of IBP, also work teachers from the different countries. School-lyceum – is  member of the Association of schools IBP across the CIS countries.
In accordance with the “ State Strategy for the Development of Education in the Republic of Azerbaijan”, in the state schools on a paid basis can be implemented the international training. This, in turn, gives us the opportunity to say that in spite of the fact that school-lyceum No. 6 is a public school, it also has the status of an international schools (International School).
Diplomas of the IBP, created in Switzerland in 1968, is now recognized by more than 130 countries and 2500 universities (Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Yale and other universities). The advantage of this program is that each step of the IBP (PYP, MYP and DP) may be used separately.
Carrying out of training on IBP in English, opportunities for collaboration and communication students from all countries. In addition to English language, IBP is taught and in the French, German, Chinese and Russian languages. The teachers working within the limits of IBP, every three year, are involved in the training programs for improvement of professional skills. And in the respective schools monitoring is conducted every five years.
