Master’s Dissertation on Economy of Azerbaijan Defended in Berlin Technical and Economic University of Germany.
13 projects submitted by Azerbaijan universities were successful in the competition. 3 out of winning projects were proposed by the Azerbaijan University of Languages (“Teaching foreign languages for professional purposes” - 1 142 902 Euros), Azerbaijan State Economic University (“Development and improvement of university management towards international relations” - 653 908 Euros) and Khazar University (“Establishment of foundation towards integration of people in need of special care to Azerbaijan universities” - 725 273 Euros”).
It’s to note that Azerbaijan started participating in Tempus program since 1995. State and private universities of Azerbaijan actively take part in Tempus projects. At the moment the participation of universities in regions of Azerbaijan and the projects considering structural events are special priorities.
In general, participation of Azerbaijan universities in European Union grant projects continues to increase year by year. Thus if 45 projects were submitted in 2012, in 2013 this number reached up to 63. This year 23 projects submitted by the universities have been shortlisted, 13 have been approved.
