On 13 August, Education Minister Mikayil Jabbarov met with 53 students, whose candidacy was approved by the Commission on Education under the President of Azerbaijan Republic for study at universities of foreign countries within “State Program for study of Azeri youth abroad for the years 2007-2015.”
At the meeting, the Minister has congratulated students noting they took their place among the most valuable young people of Azerbaijan. According to M. Jabbarov, the tradition of sending young adults abroad to study was launched by national leader Heydar Aliyev. Noting special attention is paid to the study abroad students, the Minister highlighted that this tradition successfully continues today.
The Minister has recommended to students always maintain close ties with Azerbaijan and expressed his hope that each of them will represent the country abroad in a dignified manner. Stressing the importance of improving versatile knowledge in selected professions, Education Minister expressed his confidence that they will return to Azerbaijan as a highly qualified specialist.
