• Azərbaycan Xalq Cümhuriyyəti hökumətinin 1918-ci il 28 may tarixli qərarı ilə maarif və təhsil üzrə ilk nazirlik-Xalq Maarifi Nazirliyi yaradılıb. Nazirlər Şurasının 30 iyun 1918-ci il tarixli qərarı ilə Xalq Maarifi Nazirliyinin üç şöbədən (ümumi orta təhsil, ali və orta ixtisas təhsili, peşə məktəbləri) ibarət strukturu təsdiq olunub.

    Azərbaycan SSR Xalq Komissarları Sovetinin 28 aprel 1920-ci il tarixli qərarı ilə Xalq Maarifi Nazirliyinin adı dəyişdirilərək Xalq Maarifi Komissarlığı adı ilə yenidən təşkil edilib və ölkədəki bütün təhsil müəssisələri bu qurumun tabeliyinə verilib.

Education is the future of the nation!

Today, Education Minister Mikayil Jabbarov made a working visit to Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

At first, Education Minister visited the monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev located at the central square of Nakhchivan and the Heydar Aliyev Museum.
After becoming acquainted with the unique exhibits related to the life and activity of national leader at the Museum, the Minister met with the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov.
Afterward, at the Assembly Hall of Nakhchivan State University with the participation of Education Minister Mikayil Jabbarov, First Deputy Chairman of Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan AR Azer Zeynalov and Education Minister of Nakhchivan AR Piri Nagiyev, new Rector of Nakhchivan State University Saleh Maharramov, who was appointed to this position by the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan of 17 May 2013, was presented to the University staff.
Speaking at the event Education Minister of Azerbaijan talked about the history of the University and wished Saleh Maharramov success in his new position. The Minister noted achievements of the University and spoke about the goals and tasks set for the new Rector.
During the exchange of views with the University staff, the Minister discussed issues on restoring the authority of teachers and strengthening economic activities of higher education institutions to provide decent living conditions for teachers. According to the Minister, the Ministry of Education will implement practical works in this direction.
Moreover, Education Minister of Azerbaijan became acquainted with material and technical base of the University, as well as study and living conditions for local and foreign students. He was also informed about the advanced experience of the University.
During the visit, the Minister was accompanied by senior officials of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
