Education is the future of the nation!
On September 5, Education Minister Misir Mardanov met with a delegation led by Rector of Anadolu University of Turkey Davut Aydin.
The Minister warmly welcomed the guests and talked about bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey. Noting Anadolu University is known as one of the largest and prestigious universities in the world, Mr. Mardanov stressed that, currently Azeri professors are working, and students from Azerbaijan studying at the university.
Rector of Anadolu University Davut Aydin expressed his satisfaction at the meeting with the Minister and noted their interest in expanding mutual educational ties. He gave information on the university headed by him noting Anadolu University has a wide distance education network. Moreover, the university is ranked third in the world universities for the number of his students that has reached 2 million people. The Rector spoke about meetings held by him with some rectors of Azeri universities and highly praised the interest in developing mutual relationship.
At the meeting, the sides have changed views on issues such as establishment of intra-university relationships, exchange of students and teachers, practice in distance learning and, etc.
The meeting was also attended by Ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kilic.
