On August 24, Education Minister Misir Mardanov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of South Korea to Azerbaijan Lee Ji Ha.
Education Minister warmly welcomed the guest and noted the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and South Korea over the recent years. He underlined the importance of cooperation with South Korea within the education projects and expressed his belief that all projects will be successfully implemented.
Highlighting the close partnership and friendship between the two countries, Mr. Mardanov said that 76 students from Azerbaijan are currently studying at universities of South Korea. The Minister expressed the great respect of Azerbaijan to South Korea and underlined the important role of Ambassador Lee Ji Ha in the development of mutual relations.
Ambassador Lee Ji Ha thanked the Minister for the warm welcome and expressed his pleasure to work in Azerbaijan as an ambassador. He talked about the importance of development of relations in different fields and underlined the importance of educational projects within the bilateral relations. He also underlined the important role of inter-university relations, student exchange programs and other projects in expanding educational cooperation.
Misir Mardanov wished a success to the Ambassador in his future activity, assured him that he will be always remembered as a friend of Azerbaijan, and also expressed his belief that the relations between our countries will be further developed.
