Azərbaycan SSR Xalq Komissarları Sovetinin 28 aprel 1920-ci il tarixli qərarı ilə Xalq Maarifi Nazirliyinin adı dəyişdirilərək Xalq Maarifi Komissarlığı adı ilə yenidən təşkil edilib və ölkədəki bütün təhsil müəssisələri bu qurumun tabeliyinə verilib.

Education is the future of the nation!

On April 17, at Lyceum named after academician Zarifa Aliyeva took place a final round of writing competition held among pupils of secondary schools and initial vocational education institutions devoted to the 89th birth anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

The event was attended by Education Minister Misir Mardanov, vice-chair of New Azerbaijan Party Ali Ahmedov and vice-chair of Republican Free Trade Union Committee of Educators Shaig Asgarov.

The writing competition is organized by the New Azerbaijan Party, Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Ministry of Education, Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation and Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies. The competition conducted among pupils of VII-XI classes of secondary schools and initial vocational/professional education institutions is held in 3 rounds – school, district (city) and republican. The school and district rounds were completed at the beginning of April.

Education Minister Misir Mardanov welcomed participants noting the writing competition devoted to the birth anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev has been held for almost six years. The Minister stressed that 114 pupils have gained a right to participate in the republican round of competition.

Noting contestants were selected among thousands of pupils, who have taken part in the competitions from all regions of the country, the Minister added that it will be completed in the eve of national leader’s birth anniversary. According to him, the winners will be awarded prizes and presents. What is more, it is planning to publish the best works in book form. At the end of his speech, the Minister wished every success to participants and expressed his hope that they will achieve great success in the future.

Next, it is announced the theme of the Republican stage of the competition. Pupils have begun to write an essay on the theme of “Great leader Heydar Aliyev is an architect and eternal symbol of the independent Azerbaijan.”
