On April 5 Education Minister Misir Mardanov met with a delegation led by Yevgeny Kaspersky, CEO of Kaspersky Laboratory anti-virus Co.
Minister Misir Mardanov expressed his satisfaction with the meeting guests at the Ministry of Education. According to Minister more attention is being paid in Azerbaijan to providing computer networking service to educational establishments, as well as improving internet accessibility of schools. Moreover, anti-virus programs are being used to ensure the internal network security.
Yevgeny Kaspersky, CEO of Kaspersky Laboratory anti-virus Co. informed that the company headed by him specializes in internet security solutions and expressed his views on advantages of using licensed security against computer viruses. Talking about projects implemented by them in many countries, Mr. Kaspersky gave detailed information on services provided by Kaspersky Laboratory and expressed an interest in forming partnership with different state bodies of Azerbaijan.
Noting the services provided by Kaspersky Laboratory are attracting interest, Mr. Mardanov expressed belief in positive impact of discussions that will be held with the relevant experts of the Ministry on ICT on future cooperation. He underlined the importance of strong protection of Internet networks at schools and gave information on works done in this field.
