9 universities of Azerbaijan have strengthened their positions on the "Rating list of the best universities in Europe."

“QS Quacquarelli Symonds”, an organization presenting the world's leading research and ranking lists in higher education, has announced a ranking of the best universities in Europe. Compared to last year, there is progress in the positions of 7 out of 9 Azerbaijani universities represented in the mentioned list.  Sumgayit State University entered the "rating list of the best universities in Europe" for the first time.
 

The indicators "Academic reputation" and "Reputation among employers" of all higher education institutions of Azerbaijan presented in the rating have improved. Baku State University and Azerbaijan State University of Economics were included in the list of the 200 best universities in Europe according to the indicator "Academic Reputation", and Baku State University and Sumgait State University were included in the list of the 100 best universities in Europe according to the indicator "Teacher to Student Ratio".
 

The indicator "Employment results" is also one of the areas in which higher education institutions in Azerbaijan have achieved high results. Baku State University ranks first in the country in terms of "Employment of graduates" and Azerbaijan State University of Economics ranks first in the country in terms of "Reputation among employers".
 

Also, Baku State University has the highest index among the universities of Azerbaijan on the index "International Scientific Cooperation", which is used in assessing the scientific-research activities of higher education institutions. In its turn, Khazar University is among the 20 best universities in Europe in terms of "Number of citations per article" indicator. And, Azerbaijan State University of Economic has the highest position in the country on the indicator "Achievements in the field of sustainable development goals".
 

It should be noted that Azerbaijan is represented by the largest number of universities from the South Caucasus region in the "ranking-list of the best universities in Europe".
