Azərbaycan Xalq Cümhuriyyəti hökumətinin 1918-ci il 28 may tarixli qərarı ilə maarif və təhsil üzrə ilk nazirlik-Xalq Maarifi Nazirliyi yaradılıb. Nazirlər Şurasının 30 iyun 1918-ci il tarixli qərarı ilə Xalq Maarifi Nazirliyinin üç şöbədən (ümumi orta təhsil, ali və orta ixtisas təhsili, peşə məktəbləri) ibarət strukturu təsdiq olunub.

Azərbaycan SSR Xalq Komissarları Sovetinin 28 aprel 1920-ci il tarixli qərarı ilə Xalq Maarifi Nazirliyinin adı dəyişdirilərək Xalq Maarifi Komissarlığı adı ilə yenidən təşkil edilib və ölkədəki bütün təhsil müəssisələri bu qurumun tabeliyinə verilib.

On may 26 starting the project of “District Cup” among teenagers under 13's and 15's devoted to the National Salvation Day.

The organizers of the project holding for the first time are - the Ministry of Education, Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan, Children-youth Football School of the Education Sport Centre, as well as municipalities of Nizami, Sabail, Narimanov, and Garachukhur districts of Baku.

The main purpose of the project is to develop mass football, children’s football, identify talented youth, and encourage a healthier lifestyle among young people, in accordance with the State Program on the development of Football in the Azerbaijan Republic for 2005-2015, approved by the decree, No 1038 of the President Ilham Aliyev dated on October 10, 2005 .

In the first phase of the project will be organized domestic tournaments in territories of Nizami, Sabail, Narimanov, and Garachukhur municipalities of Baku. Games will be held in accordance with the Olympic Games system. At the end of the first phase the district winner will reach the final stage. At the final stage teams will compete in accordance with a round-robin system.

Teams wishing to participate in the competition may contact the local municipality, or Children-youth Football School of the Education Sport Centre of the Azerbaijan Republic during weeks 13-24 May. Contact phone: 012-520-18-50
