First gold medal from European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad
The 11th European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad (EGMO) was held in the city of Eger of Hungary.
Our country was represented by 4 schoolgirls in the Olympiad attended by 222 schoolgirls from 57 countries.
Our pupils successfully attended in the Olympiad and received 1 gold, 2 bronze medals and 1 “Honorable mention”. So, Fidan Garayeva, student of X grade of lyceum of physics, mathematics and computer science oriented, was awarded gold medal, Fidan Jafarli and Safura Ramizgizi, students of X grade of Turksih Diyanet Foundation Baku Turkish Lyceum, were awarded bronze medals, Sevinj Mahmudova, student of IX grade of the said lyceum was awarded “Honorable mention”.
