The Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev participated at the opening of STEAM Centre in Lankaran
On March 02, the Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev visited the city of Lankaran.
The opening ceremony of STEAM Centre in complete secondary school No 7 of Lankaran city was held in the framework of the visit.
Participating at the opening ceremony, the Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev got acquainted with the condition created in the Centre for students.
It was mentioned that the Centre is regional in nature. So, it is intended that the students from the villages of Lankaran city, as well as from Masalli, Astara, Lerik and other neighbor regions may benefit this Centre.
It shall be noted that it is planned to extend STEAM project currently covering the students more than 100 thousand for country in the next academic year.
The aim of the project is to form critical, creative thought, skills of collaborating and other XXI century skills, to create the opportunity of learning through creative process in the students. As well as, combining the subjects in unified learning model based on the applications in the directions of the solution of integrative, real issues, improving the capability of using modern ICT equipment by applying different programming languages are among the aims of the project.
